I am learning how to do alot of my own Auto work. As of this weekend I will be trying to replace both my 02 sensors.

Any Idea on how esay it is? what tools I will need ans so fourth.

Also just so I know which bank is #2 the one closest to the firewall/rear of the car. Or is it the one to the front by the radiator?

It will be fun seeing I will be working on it in the street.

I believe 2 is the rear closest to the firewall.

Tools you need, a good crescent wrench, a must jackstands.

10 minutes tops.

Actually, Bank 1, containing the #1 cylinder, is closest to the firewall.

So you want to be looking near the radiator/front of car (Bank 2).

You might want to use a little PB Blaster and give it some time to soak in.

Might as well replace both since you are down there. No point in doing it twice for the little cost that it is.

There is also a socket made just for changing o2 sensors. It looks like a normal socket with one side removed so the pigtail can stick out.

Swapping them on an MTX is easy.

On an ATX, the firewall side is a real PITA. My knuckles on my left hand are still scratched and bruised from swapping that one out on Jerry M's ATX a couple of days ago. The sensor had to go in from the top with me laying on the engine and Jerry helping get it aligned from the bottom. The connector is another piece of work. The front one took all of three minutes.
