Just heard back from LiverNois, they don't track by VIN so, I don't see a definitive way to find if the car has a tune without getting a tuner.

Should I just see if the dealer can re-flash the car to stock?
Good idea as long as the car is otherwise stock. If a 3bar MAP is installed, the SHO won't like stock calibrations being flashed into it.

I put 93 in it drove it for 5 mintues and went to do a 0-60 run.
I took a video this time, and by my timing it looks to be at ~5.3-5.5
heres the link if anyone else wants to chime in.

Sorry for the camera shift and the Grunt, (i wasnt expecting the torque TBH)

Very stupid question Where is the MAP sensor on this car?

The time I got to 60 seems just a touch slower than stock .... Shouldn't it be in the 4s tuned?

Yea I think I was wrong. Good old YouTube seems about on par with other stock ones there. Good thing about being married is you get good at being wrong

I was just worried, bcause while its quick, and definitely the fastest ive owned, I definitely want more out of it.

Here is a 0-60 run with my MKS. No brake torque launch and a passenger on board. This video is an older version of my Livernois tune.

That's darn impressive, I bet you've embarrassed quite a few cars . Is that just with a tune, or do you have any bolt ons?

Tune only. It is off about a half second compared to a brake boosted launch and only me in the car.

So your in the very low 4s high 3s?

I base my 3.94 0-60 time on the Wallace racing calculator. I run my car at the track and it will run the 1/8 mile in 8.16 at 86.4 MPH and the quarter in 12.68 at 108.5 MPH. The Wallace racing calculator estimates a 0-60 based on the 1/8 mile result. It is also in line with the results shown by my Aeroforce gauge when doing an all-out launch.

A regular "just floor it from an idle" launch is in the mid 4s. By the way, I would say mine is about average or a maybe little better compared to most tune-only SHOs. There are some quicker and some slower.

So i went back out to try again tonight, and got a 5.7 (stop watching) on the first run, acceptable, then i tried a second forgot i was in manual, and hit the REV limiter. Tried one more time and got a 6.5. Does anyone else have serious loss of performance after a WOT pull?
The car idles rough and has some hesitation, and a rough idle so im thinking theres some crude in the intercooler/ piping maybe this is the issue?
Is torque accurate for measuring boost on these cars? maybe it is tuned and the supporting mods removed?

I would do the logical maintenance on the vehicle to prep for mods. Then.... Unhook battery, Run two tanks 93, run the car hard for a week. Add either Unleashed or Livernoise etc tune, more 93, run hard, have fun, add mods as needed. Learn how to drive car, power brake, use super not drive or manual.

I did some data logging this morning (VIA Torque)
First I will say the car has a 190* Tstat, Temp hovered around there the whole time.

Second I monitored boost and timing. Boost went up stayed around 12.5-13.5 with a minor spike to 16 on shifts.
Timing dropped down to about 10* when the boost went up.

The first pull I did the car was about 160* it threw me back in the seat lost traction and hit the rev limit before shifting (in auto) It felt like id expect a tuned car to.

I think the car is tuned, and the supporting mods (except the intake) were removed.

So that gives me two options once I verify which Map sensor I have. (after maintenance)
contact the dealer, let them stock flash it for however much they charge, or buy a SCT from unleashed, flash it to stock, monitor the readings, and order a full on tune for when the car is re-modded, and in better shape.

Also Sgt, my car only has a D and an M on the shifter.

Yes, the 2010-2012 models have Drive and Manual...not Sport on the shifter. Use Drive for maximum acceleration. It is way to easy to hit the rev limiter when in Manual mode.

There should not be a loss of performance after a WOT run. At the track, mine typically runs better after the first run. It is like it learns what is going on and knows it needs to step up! LOL The exception would be if there is significant heat soak and the intake temps go way up. I wouldn't expect that on just a 0-60 run.

Rough idle needs to be addressed. I would check the intercooler but also perform some regular maintenance - clean the sensor in the throttle body with MAF cleaner, replace the plugs with 534s gapped at .030, etc. Based on your boost levels, I agree that the car may have an aftermarket tune in it. It could be just one of the canned tunes that comes with some tuners and not a custom tune by a place like Unleashed or Livernois. I would want to return it to stock and start over with one of those reputable shops.

I called the dealer, I can get it reflashed to stock for 80$ The only thing im concerned about there is that I bought the ESP. I don't want to Void it because I bought the car tuned. I don't know if they even can do that considering that's the condition the car was in when I purchased it.

Part number stamped on it will be different. In the aftermarket, the 2 bar (stock on the SHO) is CX2228, the 3 bar is CX2231. If you have the 3 bar, the OEM part number will be AA5Z-9F479-B or AA5Z-9F479-AB.

The 2 bar CX2228 looks like this
S l1600

I have the code aa5a-9f479-ab So I guess I have a 2 bar
