Rear Quarter Window Rotted Rubber Trim

I have an '89 and my rear-quarter windows (the triangular jobbies) rubber trim is all rotted out. I'm afraid to pull them off for a full-up repaint because I'm afraid they will just disintegrate. Ford does not make 'em any more. Any ideas as to how I can replace them?

Rod Bearings and Oil Gallery Prelubers

With all the talk about rod bearing changes on these forums, I wonder if anyone here has thought about (or installed) those "oil gallery prelubers" that are on the market for about $500. They look pretty easy to install. The units have an electric oil pump that pre-pressurizes the oil gallery...

    Butterfly Assembly Disassembly

I have a spare intake all set to send to www.KeystonePowdercoating.com but I have a problem. I need to take the butterflies apart before I send 'em in, but no matter what I do I can not get the phillips head screws that hold the assemblies to budge! I have tried a phillips screwdriver, as well...

    Filthy Intake Ports

Have a question here. I am cleaning up a spare set of heads, and have noticed that the intake ports are loaded up with the same "intake snot" that you find in the intake manifold. Especially in the secondary port. There is enuf of the stuff in the ports that it's gotta be constricting flow...

    Police SFB Report...

Well, I finally got all my police-style SFB's in the car. Made a HUGE difference. Turn-in is much, MUCH crisper. hump The old stock SFB's actually were in pretty good shape. Not rotted out or anything. I do detect a bit more NVH when I hit expansion strips on the road, though...

    Police SFB Question...

If anyone here is familiar with the Police or 4-bolt SFB's, I need a bit of info. When I match up my police bushings with the Recall kit, it seems like the Recall washer will not fit. There is a prodtruding "shoulder" at the hole that does not fit into the Police bushing hole. I did a Forum...

    Instant Karma...

I hope this was not any of you Gen 3 Forum guys. :D Today I was driving down the Ohio turnpike, and here comes some clod in a Gen III, blowing MASS QUANTITIES of smoke out his exhaust (I saw the smoke before I saw him), driving way too fast for the traffic, and weaving in-and-out. Passing...

    SFB's...

Quick question for y'all. I am going to replace my SFB's witht the police-cruiser busings soon. As well, I've ordered the SFB recall kit from SHONUT so that I am up to date there (I never did the recall to my '89). Anyway, my question(s) are these: 1. Do I HAVE to replace the upper nut? I...

    Yamaha 'Cycle Valve Shims

Hi Guys, I am preparing to do the 60k shim clearance work and would like to know if anyone here has just used the 29mm shims that Yamaha sells for its bikes. What I intend to do is check clearances, then go down to the local bike shop to buy what I need. The Yamaha shims come in increments of...

    Power Seat Air Bladders

I have an '89 with power seats. The side-bolster air bladders work fine, but the lumbar support bladder is leaky and very quickly deflates. Does anyone know if this is a repairable or replaceable part?

    Hobby Horsing...

Hi folks. I've been a member of this board for about 2 weeks and it is VERY HELPFUL! :D Anyway, here is my situation. I have an '89 MTX, feels very solid. The struts are firm and were replaced about a year ago, as were my sway bar links on all corners. The ride is typically excellent...
