If you want I'll take a drive up there (depending on where you live) and take a look at the car for you. It'll be later this week or next week though. Plus I'll give you a ride in my car. Nothing special, just Tokico's and cut Moogs with everything else.

You should have come down a few weeks ago. We had a couple sho's get together and the SHO powered GT-40 was there too.

Ditto.

Tokico's are now obsolete as well.:frown:

Yes, they're NLA, but IMO they work better than the Konis. The two sets of Konis I've had, and others I've driven, are too stiff in front compression (bad ride, though this might not be so much of a problem with the Gen3 subframe) and too loose in front rebound, even cranked to full-stiff (floaty right around normal ride height.) I spent years blaming this floatiness on the Eibachs but as soon as I swapped to the Tokicos - problem solved.

The rears could probably use some more rebound damping for track use; I've been tempted to try Tokico fronts and Koni rears.

I bet your suspension and tires are the problem, and not the clutch; I had ****** A/S tires (HR rated) before this new set of W rated 17's and it did the same thing; very easy to spin (and just one of the fronts will). It is very hard to spin these new ones; they just grab and go.

There are four fixes for lack of traction:

a) Grippier tires
b) Quaife (no more one wheel peel)
c) Gen 3 front subframe (not really more grip but less wheel hop)
d) Sell the SHO and buy something RWD

How about what gets you to work? eibach is good, koni inserts are the ticket. Coil overs will be better than your girfriend.
