It's got 400whp yO!! ....well, not yet....but it will! Who wants to lose a race for pinks?!?

On a serious note, lookin' good with a nice rate of progress. With a full fuel tank, cutting an access hatch under the seat is easier than dropping the tank for the pump, IMO. ....or maybe unless you have a lift I guess.

Already got the fuel pump in and the tank up. I like to do stuff right, but you are correct, you can cut a hole under the seat to accesess it.

From the turbo SHO I have ridden in, forget flooring it in first or second gear. It will just break lose. I personally think fast shifting is what will cause the loss of traction. But yah, they have bad traction issues, you can watch toolmans video of his turbo SHO breaking lose around 70mph!

I agree with you for the most part.

I don't know? Brian, please elaborate.......

Turbo SHO = :hail: Open diff =:nut::oogle: boom

Yah, now imagine 200whp over what you have....:dribble:

I tried telling him all about it. He's going from a sling shot to a god dam hand cannon.

Good deal, glad you got it - you must be close to done then.

My fuel-pump access has a sealed hatch-door. I too, like to do things right. One of the reasons I have a Quaife too.

Good luck, you guys are almost there.

I don't know if anyone is wondering if the OP has actually done any research before undertaking this project, I would like the OP to convince me how he came up with the 400hp figure and what preparation he has done to the engine to handle this amount of power.

I've only read the last two posts, and it looks like he's done a 60k, changed out the pistons, injectors and a turbo that doesn't look like fresh, could you give me a rundown on your, engine mods and calculations, forget the external parts like the tuner, I want to know how you think a fresh engine is gonna last 10 minutes with the amount of boost your trying to achieve.

I don't want to see this motor blown up and perhaps another blown diff because its headed that way for sure.

Um NCtaurus sho made 403whp on 15 psi of boost, which they have ran for 3 years with no problem. When they did turn it down to 12, it still made around 385whp. I'm doing the exact same setup as they are only using a bigger downpipe then they had when they did the 403whp run. So in theory that in itself should ad hp. I did all of the 60K, the diff is welded, gasket matched intake, ported and polished intake, 50 pound injectors, 255lpm fuel pump, fpr. The main thing is we are running a garrett GT-42 turbo, which is used but is still like new. Also going on is an intercooler, which you can see in the pictures.

And I'm not saying it will be 400, 380, 420 hp, I'm just guessing in a rough ball park figure. But 400+hp is very easily attainable on 15 psi. And being that we are doing an identical setup to there car with minor changes, it will be right around there.

This whole project is suspect, best of luck.

Not suspect at all. Ashley and Paul have built a couple (few?) of these cars already. I've witnessed the Green one two years in a row at Carlisle. Judging from that one, it's very reliable, and made 380 WHP on the dyno this year at Carlisle. Detuned, according to Paul and Ashley.

The fabricating and looks of some of the components may not look like it was made for a Ferrari, but then again neither does anything else for our cars.

Point is, they build stuff that works, for not a lot of money.

My singlemost only issue with this whole project is the attitude.

I've said before, I've met all three people (and helped tape one to a pole), and they're good people, always nice and willing to share info.

It just seems that sometimes there seems to be a false sense of them having to defend themselves against "bashing" that's not taking place. But, they're young. They will outgrow that.

We are about to start work on PROJECT TURBO GRANNY SEDAN once again!!!

Tonight the Tweecr, Apexi and hopefully the gauges will all be hooked up. Hopefully the 3 inch down pipe we have will be long enough. I will keep you posted and all. Got to go paul is calling me.

How dare you hate on his "build" like that, you dont even have a turbo SHO.

All this 400hp talk, you better run and hide if you fall short. In my experience with these motors it seems that some just run stronger than others, whether theyre ill maintained or not.

I would like to say, that in reality, I try to be one to "smooth" things over when everyone gets mad. I don't try to start things, however, yes, i have said things in the past. but i'd like to think i am more mature than some people would like to give me credit for, as in PMing moderators to apologize for things said in threads by others, and trying to work things out when things said on over a computer have been mistaken as "defensive" or "unnecessary" or even "rude". So in the end, I'd like to say that from now on, i will try to come across as not being any of those things, and try to take criticism as positive, unless it really is a negative and unnecessary comment. I am not really all that young in comparison to a lot of people on here at age 23, and Paul is even older at 30. so I don't consider us kids, and i feel that i am more mature at my age than some are at 50. once again, I am sorry if anything i have said has come across wrong, i mean we are just on a computer, you can hear my tone or see my face, but i think that can be changed in the future with a little bit of "think before you type". I hope others can do the same. thanks for all the positives you guys have said though, i so appreciate that. I hope you know that we are going to do a good job on this car, and i hope that he can be careful and mature about driving it, as i think he will. I told hime to stay off the rev limiter as well :)
