MFS sprung apart - how to re-assemble?

i'm just about to take some photos and post them with #s so its easier, but if anyone with experience taking these apart and putting them back together could please jump in and help me out with this? it needs to be re-assembled asap... (or should I just drop it off at Ford for them to do? haha)

I assume that these two go together in the way shown, but I can't seem to get the end of the stalk silver part) under the black plastic bit to reach to the spring. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v469/thai_eggs/MFS/IMG_3539.jpg also, not sure where the ball bearing, or the black piece on the left in this photo goes.

Ok... i've got it all back together... almost. just this ONE piece, i can't figure out where it goes. my Chilton book is of ZERO help.... its the piece on the left.

ok... i got that last piece figured out, put back together, and into the car. highbeams were turned on the second i re-connected the battery. nothing i did (except disconnecting the battery) fixed that. saw a second ball bearing on the seat when i got out of the car. so.... new problem:

Where do the ball bearings go? any particular reason my highbeams are stuck "on"?

not to be an ass but, was it really worth all ur time and headaches you brought upon yourself by NOT buying the new switch and dinking around with dis assmebling it and cleaning it?

as far as ur headlight problems goes, i am sorry I can't help ya there

haha yes, in a way it was. I like tinkering.... i can now take apart/re-assemble that thing in mere minutes.
I got everything "working".... except that its still intermitent. so, i'll order in the part, which is fine. but if all it took was taking everything apart and cleaning it for it to work properly, it would have been worth the $145 saved.

oh for sure it would have been nice to save some $$$, but it seems that it never works out that way
my 96 gtp does the same thing, so i just bought a new one, when i am feeling better(i'm sick)i will get around to it
what costed me more $$ was the fact that my switch also contains the steering wheel audio controls, I like them so i decided to get the right one but it costed me more $$$

I was going for the quick & cheap route, as I need the car road-worthy by the weekend (ie. signals working). I JUST missed Napa's closing time, so I'll have to order it in tomorrow. hopefully it won't be too much more expensive up here, and won't take that long to arrive.
