Well, when you get to it, try the wiggle test while pushing down on the door locks or the window buttons. If it moves/locks you'll know it's in that section of the wiring. :thumb: When you get to it that is. ;)

yeah im running around like a chicken with its head cut off, between this car (was supposed to be a quick fix then the engine blew) and my other pos mtx 3.3 build iv been goin nuts. The atx just failed inspection for an exhaust leak, and I still dunno why it lost 2 qts of oil in 3 miles. Oh well, tomorrow the patched up y pipe goes back on, then off to inspection... again. If it passes (and it should) and doesn't lose moire oil, then off it is to Ford to get the cruse recall done. Then hopefully off to school with me it comes. I spent my whole month off from school working on shos, ahhh the beauty of owning a sho:rofl:

bringing back an old thread to give some info I found. Anyway I changed my right rear drivers door since mine was all scratched up. The rear window on the right rear door works now with both switches, indicating a band window motor since the other door still does not work. However, my door locks now work because I changed that door:confused:

The answer you need

This ones a very easy fix for all you guys with this prob. Forgot where i heard it from, but i know from doing it my self.... I went to the junkyard and bought some replacement switches out of some random Gen.2's(any taurus will work:thumb:) put them in my 94SHO and problem solved! I believe the only tools you will need are a phillips&flat head screw driver + a pair of pliers to twist of the really small screws on the back of the switch. I think i only paid 5 or 10 bucks for each one and i needed 3. Definatly a good investment!

P.S. when you try this let me know how it works out.

Gen 2 sable switches will work to. The only hard part i found was finding a car with the same color interior. (Mines mocha, but all the ones where i was at seemed to be gray)

Ooopps! Sometimes it can get a little strenuous on the eyes reading so many posts, but i guess sometime thats what it takes. Now that i read it though it sounds like a loose wire somewhere. Try checking the window switches to make sure the wires are all the way pushed in if you hav'nt already. Other than that i dunno what to tell you except trying to find someone who's a wiz w/ electronic stuff.

AHHHHHHHH my locks stopped working today, I let me dad drive my car, he brings it home with the abs lights on, locks not working, tape jammed in the tape deck, and he had ot get it jumped because he left the lights on (he refuses to use the auto light feature i tell him is really nice) But now that they stopped working again, Im thinking it might be a loose wire on that right rear door or something thats shorting the whole system.

That's a good bet. I had a different problem where i kept blowing the radio fuse, and couldn't figure it so save my life. I had a buddy look at it who is a whiz with electronics/ wires & shit and he had it fixed in 5 minutes. It turned out that 1 of the wires in the sunroof switch had worn thru it's protective coating and was grounding out on the clip that holds it up. Some electrical tape and problem solved.
I feel your pain by the way...My wife steps within 10 feet of my car and it starts acting funny! Let her drive it.......and well my ATM card is going to get some exercise:woohoo:NOT REALLY more like this...:fight:

After all that I let him drive it again, and he almost hits a deer last night:laugh_ti: I think I should stop letting him use my car lol. I should tell him to leave it home so I can mess with the wiring and try to fix these locks.
