You were just thinking that you would have to swap some Regular Taurus fenders, head light bar, headlights, grill and corner lights to make it work. Yes all Gen2(92-95) SHO's came with the space filling useless plastic "Fishtanks". They were simply put in place to take up the extra space left over from the Sable headlights and headlight bar with the SHO front bumper/grill assembly. What I don't get is whay they didn't just make the grill section wider to take up the extra space.

actually, i think its because they wanted to use headlights that were already being made. why spend the money on headlight molds and DOT certification if they could just borrow the part from the Sable. its a lot easier to make those little nonfunctional fishbowls than to make a whole new headlight.

well i'm guessing that whoever put it back together just used a taurus front end. i don't have fish tanks and i have the wide grill. i think it looks ok but i like the look of the stillen front bumper. so i'm thinkin gof leaving it. i don't know.

Yes they came with fish tank lenses, but you have to put your own bulbs in to make the Fish tank mod!.....<a href="http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v249/phillipsjeff/?action=view&current=SHOnight.gif" target="_blank"><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v249/phillipsjeff/SHOnight.gif" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Ford still had to mold the fish tanks though. They aren't used on any other car. The fishtanks attach to the same tabs on the headlights that the Sable light bar attaches to.

Ford still could have used the Sable lights, and just extended the "grill" like Adidas said.

for looks.....picture the SHO with a super wide grill then look at the "fish bowls"

just MHO but id prefer the "fish bowls"

I agree, i think the grill would look too wide without the fishtanks. I think they should have added lights like some have done. that's gonna be my first cosmetic mod after trans work, full 120k, ect., ect......

well here's a picture of the front end i'm looking at. if i decide to go back to the SHO front i would have to swap headlight and then find fishtanks and the SHO bumper. and maybe some side skirts, not to sure how i feel about them though.

That looks like a bumper cover to me, not an entire bumper. If it is a cover, it would most likely work with a SHO front end too. Those side skirts are fugly though.

I like the stock sho body kit and id never change it. Also that body kit looks like to much worth then its worth IMO although it doesn't look like rice or anything.

correct me if i'm wrong but isn't the front SHO fascia a one piece vs. a two piece for the SLO. because i'm fairly certain that this is a one piece fascia. i dunno i'm a nubie and i'm still learning. but i really do appreciate all that you guys here on the forum help with.

I think you're right. I just assumed the SLO bumper was one piece too. I take my comment back then ;)
