I was interested, but the seller has not responded to either direct contact or the offers. If there isn't any direct contact, it sure is looking like a scam.

Or just someone's idea of a joke.

Maybe the seller is just away on a long weekend? :)

yeah something is weird because I was able to get two different feedback pages to come up, one with just two feedbacks listed on it and one with ten! I call SCAM!

There are two under is "Feedback as a seller", then there are eight for his Feedback as a Buyer". All ten are seen at once under his "All Feedback" tab.

It's a bit absurd to call the seller a crook with no evidence that this is a scam.

You're right Manyshos. I'll apologize as soon as someone proves this sale is legit. It's too late to take back what I said but I'll own it if I'm wrong. So, how much did you bid for the Rage?

You're an ass.

Let's assume for a second that it's a legit sale.

Maybe the seller doesn't own a digital camera?

Even if it's not legit, still no need to be an ass about it. A simple "Could you please send some more current pictures than the ones in your auction?" would have been a lot more adult.

It definitely seems a little peculiar, and would definitely be a "buyer beware" purchase that would require an in-person inspection before forking over a penny. Still no need to be an ass.

Okay Mr. Anonymous I've apparently offended your sense of proper etiquette as well. As quoted earlier in the thread:

"You're right Manyshos. I'll apologize as soon as someone proves this sale is legit. It's too late to take back what I said but I'll own it if I'm wrong. So, how much did you bid for the Rage?"

I've already conceded Manyshos has a valid point in my being too quick to judge. Your subsequent name calling only makes you guilty of the same thing. Sure maybe a guy with a $15,000.00 car doesn't own a digital camera - I'll buy that for a dollar. Why don't we settle this thing right now and let's have you pony up the BIN price and you can post pictures of you smiling next to your RAGE Taurus!

Now I think my mommy's calling me for dinner so I'll have to leave the playground for now.

Have a nice day!!!

Oh and another thing Anonymous. You did notice I didn't hide what I said didn't you? I too after having made that knee **** response to the ebay posting realized I acted hastily. That's why I was "adult" enough to own up to it in a public forum such as this one. I have enough respect for all that contribute their opinions/advice/support here.

Any more insults you'd like to hurl at me?

In fairness, I didn't see your reply to Ian until now since you apparently posted it while I was in the process of typing my original reply.

That being said, your email to the seller was still asstastic. Scam or not, I think an apology to the seller is more appropriate than any mea culpas here.

Waving white flag

Your fairness is appreciated and your point regarding the apology also well taken. Having been the victim of ebay fraud in the past my reaction to what appears to be a scam to me was inordinately caustic. I know this may sound like electric chair remorse to you but I guess I'm simply not big enough to apologize to this seller without more "evidence" to suggest he's not precisely what I've accused him of being. I've been reading over others' comments regarding this posting and it seems like the majority doubts the authenticity of this sale. I also ask why the seller hasn't responded to my admittedly harsh and premature accusation?

All this being said, I have had numerous exchanges with the members of this forum and do not wish my comments relating to this situation to tarnish in any way future dealings with the same.

Best regards,

Duane.

Wow, what did I start when I posted the thread?! Didn't mean to get some folks off track and cause a stir here on the forum. At any rate, I asked the guy as soon as I seen it listed, like an hour after and I still haven't heard from him either. I asked for simple pics and a bit more info, that any one who has the car could have answered. Kinda strange how he knows exactly what size the rims and tires are, and that it sports Borla exhaust. Unless its a good guess. I thought for the longest time it was 19s, and someone said they had to come off the car to transport it. Maybe more BS, and from the way it looks, we may never know. Has anyone that said it was close by tried to view it yet? Or do a drive by??

To sum up a few things:

1) The kid, if not a digital camera, at minimum has an iPhone, which was used for the pictures on SHOClub (not stock pictures)

2) TCCA's ryanqzqz won the auction for $19,000.

In terms of proof, quoted from ryanqzqz, "He hasn't offered proof but i do have a phone number and we're supposed to talk and 'arrange' things."

The seller said "thnk you for bidding. i have proof that this is the real Rage. also
we have had this car since it was built by my fathers company.
because ford didnt want it" in an Ebay message to Ryan.

Edit: I know this is my first post, but some of you might know me from TCCA. I just wanted to update this thread. Have a good one, KB

why does it have a buy it now of 15k. and he won it for 19? uh? does he just like burning money?
Yeah, this thing seems more and more fishy by the minute. Offering $19K on a car they could buy for $15K!?!? :nut:

Well at least it made for interesting conversation for a week...
