I checked at 2 different Ford dealers and got the same p/n which is 4W1Z-9J460-AA which is a plastic DPFE sensor. The original was all metal. Also, the new one is a kit with a new connector requiring cutting the old connector off and splicing in the new one. The part does have FoMoCo printed on the back and it is in a Motorcraft box.

I don't have the original since it was replaced with a Wells aftermarket.

I would prefer to go with Motorcraft, so the question is............If the plastic one is the correct replacement has anyone had any experience with it?

Thanks

The old number of F1AZ9J460A has been superseded by the upgrade kit number that you received.

Ford apparently slimmed down their parts stock by making a replacement kit that covers many previous applications.

Does anyone have experience with the plastic replacement DPFE (and if so, then how many miles)?

Also, how long has this been the replacement for the metal one?
