Maybe some of you have noticed my threads over the passed 3 months, they have been about front end popping noises, clunking noises, hesitation, clutch pedal issues, frozen parking brake, subframe issues, and so on and more recently a busted rad. and a cooling fan that wont go on, making my car into a huge lawn conversation piece and I've only had the car for 3 months(when i bought the car it was running fine). Well while i was taking a look at my fan situation and i notice the my dis module was cracked, then i noticed that the dis was basically sitting on ont the mount for the airshock and the movement of the engine is causing it to break, it looks pretty bad check out the pics

As you can see the engine is tilted back pretty bad

This car as got me stressed out as it is, and now with this....its very frustrating to say the least, especially because iam a big fan of these cars, soo where do i even start with this one guys, my subframe bushings are in bad shape when i grab the engine and shake it its moves a little not much

Ok well my car is doing the same thing but my motor mounts seem fine. In fact if im not mistaken I have solid mounts (done by previous owner).

I hear ya, I sold my '94 ATx (ran GREAT) for a '92 MTX and 2 months later I've done a transmission and tires, plus It needs a front left hub/bearing and i'm looking at crank cancer or a tb tensioner... but hey, what else would be as fun (while it's running) for 2k?

would bad sfb's cause a similar problem ?

That looks exactly like mine did when the subframe rusted through under the mounts...on the passenger rear.

Stick a jack under the subframe from behind the front passenger tire. As you raise the jack, watch to see the subframe rising in relation to the car. You can also note the position of the DIS module before and after jacking.

You need subframe bushings(if not a new subframe).

mine did the same thing after a subframe bolt fell out...get under the car and check the bolts....fix was cheap and really improved the car....
and don`t feel alone.. my 'to do' list keeps growing!
I think every SHO owner goes through these 'tough times' and if it seems not worth it to you, unload it!
I promise you will never get what you have put into it...but,you will never be able to buy another like it...they are soo damn fast and fun.
Your call...

today i jacked up the car from right under where the front motor mount bolts to the frame as i jacked it up the engine began to rise to where its suppossed to be and when let back down it went right back to where the pics show, is this a confirmation that the front motor mount needs to be relaced ? or somthing else ?

The aluminum ones won't sag for obvious reasons.

It should be fairly easy to check. Take the passenger side tire and the wheel well cladding off. Once that is off it is really easy to inspect where the subframe connects to the chassis.
