which calipers are used in the rear 11.6 upgrade? I have the info at home but I'm in FL, and my rear brakes are SHOT down here. I need to fix them but don't want to wast a ton fixing my 94 rears.

thanks

You have a 1992 SHO, so you'll keep the rear calipers, caliper brackets and same brake pad size that came with your car. You just need new 11.6" rotors and the new custom brackets.

It doesn't increase the rear braking force much since you are using the same brake pads, it is more for appearances to fill out the wheel with brake rotor.

If I remember right, most of the 11.6" rear brake upgrades use the rear calipers from the '96-'99 Taurus/Sable setup, the calipers themselves are basically the same style, with the bracket being the important piece that spaces everything correctly for the larger rotor. If your current rear brakes are completely toast and you're planning on doing the upgrade anyway, I'd probably avoid sinking much money into the stock '94 setup beyond what's needed to keep it safe. Hopefully someone with the exact parts list handy can confirm, but I seem to remember the brackets being the harder item to source than the calipers themselves.

I found the upgrade helps the e-brake hold the car better. YMMV. I run EBC Red Stuff rear pads.
I got the brackets from SHOSource.

It uses the gen1/92 rear calipers. The 93-99 rear calipers are would not be used. You’re probably confused with the “96 brake upgrade” that changes the front brakes to the 96 size.
