Well, I recently went back to the dyno in my quest to make over 600 whp. This journey has had its hurdles for sure, but my setup now seems to be the best so far. Last week I brought the car back to the same DynoJet dyno where the car made 530 whp. Back then I was running the GH Gen3R turbos at approximately 21/22 psi to achieve those numbers. Now I’m running a set of one off TurboBay Gen4 turbos that made 610 whp and 626 trq at 26 psi. My goal was to make between 625-650 whp but for some reason the ECU was fighting the tune and not letting the boost hit the desired amount of 28 psi. Brad spent a great deal of time tweaking the tune to help me achieve my goal. And if it wasn’t for him, I’m not sure I would have ever come this close. If we could have achieved 2 more psi I’m positive the car would’ve made 630 plus whp. These turbos were at 80% wastegate cycle at 26 psi so, they had a little more to give. Unfortunately, the ECU didn’t wanna play nice. LOL

That is a big journey. Way to stay dedicated. It is always cool to see something like this.

Have you looked at any of Andrews Facebook posts recently regarding his hurdles for tuning? There's a lot of good information he's written, including crank relearn and wastegate control strategy alterations.
I’m using the same tuner (Brad). He’s been tweaking the tune and trying to get all the boost we can

That's good then, the wastegate control strategy had nothing to do with tuning, but rather how the lines are run for controlling boost. Maybe take a look at that post and see if there's anything helpful

So...what 1/4mi time does that eqate to, or what's your best time been so far?
I’ve never run the car in the quarter mile. And probably would never attempt it at this power rating. That’s asking a lot for the stock transmission. Car was built simply as a toy. I wanted to make at least 630 whp but, the ecu restricts boost over 26psi. But, we may have found a way around the ecu restrictions but, we’ll see

What a beast! You gotta make a few track passes! Gotta be a 10 second car.

Helix clutches, billet flex plate, GH TC, and your transmission will be good to go
