Well heres a swap thats been done only once before but for a different chassis code (s30) im planning on swapping a 1989 3.0 v6 SHO with a t5 transmission and an aerostar bellhousing that will be going into a 1982 280zx something ive been struggling to figure out is seeing where exactly the motor mounts go on the engine (i am not in the states at the moment) and right now i am in the planning stage of everything and would love pictures showing exactly where the motor mounts are (preferably pictures of the engine on a hoist) and measurments showing exactly how far from the front and back of the engine the mounts are i know the SHO is about 9½ inches shorter any help would be very much appreciated

FYI, IF you don't already have the aerostar bell, there will soon be a new option using "stock" production parts and a SBF bell, including a modern billet flywheel and clutch solution. We are in the middle of work, thanks to several members here, on putting together an end-to-end modern solution for mating a RWD SHO with a t5. New 157 tooth billet flywheel (with proper offset for adapter plate) is past design stage, with the first headed for the cnc and then back to us (for validation) as of Apr. 10. - Uses the ShoRage adapter plate, then fox body clutch options for parts availability. Details will progress over the coming month (bearing, hardware, etc.) but the plan is to put together a full "kit" with Modern Driveline, ShoRage, and ShoSource elements.
