Might have just ruined my engine during rebuild.

So today as some of you know I was continuing my rainy timing chain rebuild project. I didn’t have a car to get to the store (obviously) so I didn’t have a puller for the harmonic balancer. Instead I used a 1 1/2 inch socket and a hammer with some padding on the balancer. Now I’m freaking out looking all over the internet as everyone says not to do it. However I didn’t hammer very hard, moderate force only and a few taps at a time and then checked the alignment to make sure it was going on straight. Once it got close I put the bolt in and drew it in by hand no impact. Everything was lined with clean oil before starting. My question for any experienced engine builders, how f-ed am I? I feel like a darn fool right now thinking I knew this project back to front with the manual and I might have just ruined my crank bearings. Honest answers would be appreciated.

Edit:
I just re watched ford tech makuloko’s video on the f150 and he tapped his on with a socket and then used the old bolt to draw it in. So I’m probably just overthinking it, but I won’t be tapping it on again. At least I didn’t go wailing on it with a sledge.

If you have ever looked at how well secured the main bearing are set in the EcoBoost you should have no worries about a few taps.

IMHO

Thank you. I appreciate that a lot. I tried researching it on the eco posts but nobody seemed to have an answer other than “it’s not recommended.” Which I knew going into it hence why I took precautions with the padding and the little taps in the center and the oil. I also knew not to heat it in the oven to avoid destroying the rubber.
