Full detail in preparation for our long trip. Polished the headlights and brought those back from yellow. Tried some new matte finish interior detailer (Adam's polishes). Tweaked the rear alignment, and checked everything I've touched in the last 3 months. This is the most right this car has been since I've bought it. Going to attempt a little paint correction in the fall (it's 96 degrees out and I still have to mow the lawn)

Yeah waiting to the summer here in FL and getting car projects done - motivation drops. Was out mowing Fri at 2:30 in the PM was nasty.

Hope the car stays trouble free. Enjoy

That’s a pretty nasty looking Marauder! Always wanted one.
Me too, the golden age of ford retro they really hit the muscle car look considering what they were working with.

When I used to go to test n tune a guy showed up with one that had a turbo sticking out of the hood, I couldn't guess the size but it appeared to be more at home on a built cummins or a helicopter than on a gran marquis, he ran high 10s, stock Marauder wheels with wrinkle walls and a chutte. A perfect blend of a sleeper turned monster

Ford Racing 5.3 L crate motor with a 4 L whipple, dyno sheet he had put down 1500 hp. His son has a matching one that makes 1400 and they usually go to shows and park together around here but only the dad could make this show!

Over the last 24 hours I did a headlight restoration on my SHO. Since I already did a boxed kit sand/polish process a while back, I did the light sanding (400/600/800/1K/2K) and paint process (2K clear coat).

It turned out really nice and with minimal defects. I will look at it when I get off from work tomorrow afternoon to see if a slight wet sanding is needed.

Considering doing the film to mine, maybe a very light smoke and smoke the chrome while I'm at it. Rattle can clear?

Looks good. Give us an update in a few months.
In my experience, some varnishes turn yellow over time. I have not found the "right" sealant to use after polishing headlights.

I've heard a lot of good about using the 2K clear coat (with a good polish to even the orange peel like sheetmetal paint job and maybe a wax/coating) which will last much longer than the other boxed options that have a miracle cure plastic treatment.

We shall see...

this is why I immediately wrapped My headlights because they fitt'n to get crusty if I don't. Used some of that vivid hex wrap. Turned out pretty well I think.
I wrapped mine from month 1 when I bought mine to ward off the UVA/B damage
