Hi, this is my first time posting but have been viewing a lot of information and am looking for some advice. My 2013 SHO's just died lost the motor and both turbo are toast! Was thinking of just buying a used engine and turbos with lower miles and then change timing chain and water pump then install and run it? Any recommendations to put in new turbo's or upgrade? Thanks for any tips and what others have done and how it worked out. My car is in great shape and love the car that has 146k on it. Thanks in advance!

I would consider the gearhead turbos if you are alos looking for a tune. Other than that others may chime in with recommendations.

As long as you have another vehicle to drive, my suggestion is, go through the performance section of these forums, decide how hands on you will be. It comes down to your time is sorta free, but need the tools and equipment. Otherwise your costs go up exponentially to pay a shop.

There is troves of great information here in the performance sections. Don't forget about transmission and PTU maintenance while everything is exposed.

Thanks for responding, how many miles are on engine, did you change the water pump and what is condition of timing chain (original)? What is the brand for the turbos and what are you asking for the set up?

Thank you, just stock to get it back on the road. Just spent a bunch of money on my 6.0 2004 Harley Davidson Edition F250.

IMO I would just sell it off as a builder and put the money to a newer less miles ride. faster and you will be about the same it cost without the down time.

Hi,
Do you have an email so I can send you a full description and pictures. The engine is a 15 and the turbo’s are Ford NIB..

Thanks for the info, I was thinking of doing that and still kicking it around it's just that the car is in such good shape except for the engine thing...haha
