Okay I got the manifold installed today.
I took a little drive around and check temperatures. Heat soak seems to be about the same. Maybe 2-3°F cooler. Temperatures while driving are 10-15° cooler than just with the Gearhart intercooler. With a best of 17° over ambient while driving. Intake temperatures fluctuate with throttle opening, but I cannot remember if it was this rapid before or not.
I suspect a spacer would drop temperatures even more.
Tha inside passages are ceramic coated as well.
Not as big of a difference in temperatures as I had hoped. It was 78° out.

Every little bit helps the way these cars pull timing based on IAT though.

New look with the wheels. My SHO rims got slightly bent travelling through pothole Manitoba.
Plus a couple pics of the car they came from. They are about a month old. Picked them up for a hundred each, $125 Canadian. They are an inch wider than the stock rims
I'm thinking about going all black or gunmetal again. I don't think the silver and black look good with the cinnamon paint. Opinions?

Personally I think it works as is. You already have both chrome and black accents on the car. Not to say black wouldn't be cool too

Looks like I'm headed up to the dynamometer on Tuesday. Wish me luck any guesses on horsepower?

Apparently it only takes 300 horsepower to move one of these down the track to low 13s.20211012 2101053

perfect for stock.
Yeah something definitely fishy going on there. His Corrections didn't even match the weather. Humidity was almost twice what he was listing and barometer was off by a full inch. He wasn't spooling the car properly and it was a third gear pull.

Naw, I just wanted to see what the curves were like and it gave me that me that.
He's kind of proud that he has the lowest numbers of any of the dynos the area.

how much boost and what tune?
Not sure I didn't log it. But I'm pretty sure I didn't hit the 15 - 16 PSI I normally run. This was a 91 to 93 octane Gearhead tune. Gas in Canada ***** are 93 and 94 octane is barely 91.
find a new shop
Next nearest all-wheel drive Dyno is another fifty or sixty miles away. This was a 73 degree day with 85% humidity.
He also pulled me in straight off the highway so no cool down before doing runs or in between.
What's also kind of strange is power starts dropping off around 5500 and my **** dyno says my car starts really hauling in that range.

I had a similar experience, except mine gave me some numbers I was happy with, but then when he printed the numbers they were all completely different…….makes no sense and the printed numbers were lower…….I was so confused….I did 3 runs, two runs had damn near identical numbers, then I swapped to 1 psi less boost tune and ran a little less. Every time the dyno told us the numbers on a big *** screen…like a projector on the wall….it was exciting, I sat in the car with him, numbers would show up on the projector screen in front of us…with that correction(whatever it is for weather). Then happy and excited he goes to print the numbers as I’m ready to leave and all the numbers are different now. So idk what it really was….I don’t know if ANY of the numbers are legit. Then I backed into a random truck axle on the ground as the tech ghosted me and I took the car off the dyno myself which was weird as ****, bc after the first roller I hit my brakes but my car rolled forward again onto the other roller…..I would have preferred that he drove it on and off the dyno lol! The truck axle damaged my front chin spoiler, he didn’t charge me for that dyno session…..so I left with numbers that didn’t add up and damage to my car. I have no desire to jump back on a dyno anytime soon.

It said I was about 463hp and 569tq on a 19 psi tune and 418 and 522 on a 18 psi tune. Not much cool down between the 3 runs and I think the 18 psi tune was down so much bc after a flash my OAR is lower initially. Then printing the data said the 18 psi tune was 379hp and 406tq. I only took a pic of the results of the 18 psi tune on the dyno screen, but you can see on the graph where it is now only 379/406. So I have one of the fastest (underpowered) SHO’s around. This was a Mustang dyno and I honestly couldn’t make any sense of the numbers ……it was just a complete waste of time. And fixing the chin spoiler cost me $220….the dyno was $150 that he didn’t charge me bc if that axle on the ground. So meaningless numbers and I was out $70 plus my time.
