Well I talked to the owner of the garage about the transmission fluid. He's going to talk to the mechanic. He said if I have any problems with the transmission, let him know. We will see how that goes.

On the 20th of August I'm going to head to Pickering and get a few Dyno runs in to see what my wheel of horsepower is like. Hopefully my new downpipes will of arrive before then.
The dino they use is the Dynocom, it's based on Mustang dyno technology. Apparently one of the guys who helped design the Mustang Dyno's broke away and started his own company.

Have they ever run a SHO before or a stock SHO?

No idea, I didn't think to ask. Are there special considerations?

Yesterday I got my coolant lines hooked up to my cool lines I got from JordanR. I teed off my coolant lines, to and from my heater core. I talked to the local radiator place, go Bainer's. He gave me some AC hard lines with T fittings for Schrader valves. He said just drill out the Schrader valve fittings and use them for the line feeds. Kind of an ingenious and thinking out of the box.
Anyhow I got everything prepped and hooked up. Took the car for a nice hour long drive and dropped the plastic belly pan. The PTU was cool enough to hold your hand on it after an hour in 88° heat. Engine doesn't seem to be running any warmer than before.
Come winter I'll have to see if this was a good idea or not. Might not be quite as warm coming out of the heater core. On the plus side, the PTU will be heated in the winter. So the oil inside the PTU will be brought up to operating temperature during the cold months. Cold oil doesn't flow or lubricate as well as warm oil.

Well I'm off to the dynamometer tomorrow. The place generally has good reviews, but one person was not very pleased with him. We will see.
I probably got at least a week more to go before the downpipes arrived so this will be all stock exhaust.
I've been playing around with the handling. Trying different combos of struts, springs and top mounts.
The 2010 performance pack struts and SHO springs and top mounts were too stiff and I was on the verge of understeer. Even with the WhiteLine 24.5 mm sway bar set at stiffest setting and sho rear shocks and springs.
I tried the sho springs and top mounts with the MKS struts. Good turn in nice handling but way too floaty. It had a tendency of wandering on the highway as well. The MKS struts were a little on the worn side. Maybe a touch too much vibration and feedback through the steering wheel as well with the SHO top mounts and springs.
Option 3 seems to be the best so far. That's the MKS front springs, performance pack struts and MKS top mounts. Mild feedback and good initial turning with neutral to just a touch of oversteer thru corners.
I'm debating whether or not to use the top mounts from the SHO for even more feedback. But for now it seems to be a good compromise.
If anyone's wondering what I'm doing. In order to decrease turn in understeer. You have several options. Two of those options are stiff springs and softer shock compression or softer springs with stiffer shock compression. Both of these reduce the reaction time of the suspension on turn in. There's other stuff you can adjust as well, but this is what I was working on and with at this time.

I have some detailed info on some of your topics within the first 5 paragraphs. I have paddleshifting canceling in sport mode and wastegate mods and pcm mods. Along with a full advance track disabling, on my car now. I'll send you my info and finding as they are not public and never will be...
When I went to Cobb tuning they were able to do so many things that are impossible for other tuners to do somehow.
Would you be able to pm me regarding this?

So no Dyno today. Apparently their electricity is out!! He called me to let me know before I left to get there. Now I'm kind of wondering whether or not the bad review we got about not being professional is true. A complaint about substance abuse.
Anyhow he's supposed to call me and get me in next week.
Would you be able to pm me regarding this?
He never sent anything. So I have no idea what he's talking about. Still waiting. LOL

I decided to check for boost leaks today. So I pressurize the system and what do I find two small leaks around the intercooler to throttle and front turbo to intercooler. Fixed looks like it's time for hard pipes.
On a happier note my downpipes are coated and drying. Will be shipping shortly. Trying to get a hold of Lee to find out whether or not I can get quicker shipping arranged. Might do the same with the hard pipes.

Next thing I'm going to try and troubleshoot his whether or not I've got any false knock. So I'm going to be updating on this post.

And the ****** is... Upper transmission torque mount. This sucker has seen better days it's shot. So that's one source of false knock.

The word W e i n e r is apparently on The hit list from the Department of Truth.

Okay I ended up paying expedited shipping to hopefully get my downpipes and hot pipes delivered by Friday. Thank you Eco-performance, Ortiz performance and especially Lee @FiveLeeter918 for pulling this all together for me. If I can get some good fuel and take care of any other false knock issues that might be hiding, this might be an interesting run at the track on Friday.
My new engine mount should be in tomorrow.

Do you have an overall goal for the car? Quarter mile time or trap speed, horsepower and torque numbers? Or are you just upping everything until you are satisfied?

Not sure if my goals at this point. Real problem is fuel availability. E85 isn't a common fuel where I live. So I'm seeing how far I can go simply with high octane booster added. I have no plans of spraying Nox or ethanol. I do have some ideas for augmenting cooling that I will post about as I try them.

Yep I just changed mine out a few weeks ago it was trashed. Hopefully you can find one, otherwise you can get one of the DIY polyurethane mold kits, jig your mounting point to center and fill it with poly and let it cure for 24 hours and you should be good to go.

I just picked up the new mount 10 minutes ago. Now I just have to deal with the humidity corrected 98° f temperatures outside.
