Yes it is definitely gorgeous country up there. Midwestern Canada has its beauty as well.
Unfortunately I'm not sure where I could find e85 or e30 around here.
Yeah splodens never good. I bet she'd blowed up mighty good if I push it too far at the moment. Really didn't like my intake temps at all with the turbos trying to supply such high boost. 67° day with a GearHead intercooler and I was getting around 128°F. So something's really wrong there. I suspect that there is lack of fuel supply by the stock pump as well.

It’s kind of unfortunate how gimped the platform is compared to the 3.5 Raptor crowd. The same motor is pushing 550hp with on pump gas!

I picked up this battery powered fan yesterday to use at the track between runs. Jordan told me running a fan can help cool the intake between rounds.

Roughly 12 weeks. They had material shortages and of course I ordered the ceramic coating which didn't help. LOL

Those will be nice and worth the wait though. I was too impatient and went with the Stainlesworks which aren’t nearly as nice and had the be beaten around the firewall.

I came close to ordering the Stainlessworks one ones. Unfortunately my MKS is a daily driver. So I thought a little corrosion and heat protection on the pipes would be a good idea

Well I just got a call from the garage doing my PTU and axle shaft install upgrade. It seems that the new upgraded intermediate shaft (thank you Ford) requires a new updated CV axle on the end of it. Apparently the shaft and is slightly smaller than the older axle blind end. It will take about a week to come up from Ford in the US.

Well, I got a surprise today. It seems my mechanic managed to scrounge up the right (left side) CV drive axle. I picked up the car and had a quick look over the old parts that I had had on the car.
It seems the PTU I had replaced wasn't original to the car. From what I've observed from three ptus that I now own. You can turn the drive shaft yoke by hand on all three. There's very little yoke play in the almost new unit I received from JordanR. My parts car PTU has a slight amount of play in the yolk. The PTU that came with my MKS has slightly more play and a bit of a tick as you twist it one way or the other.
Now with my parts PTU and Jordan's PTU it's possible to turn by hand, the input shaft, that fits into the differential. If you give it a little momentum by turning the output yoke.
With the PTU that came out of the car. No amount of encouragement will allow you to turn the input shaft by hand whatsoever. Without turning assistance from the yoke shaft, pinion.
The car feels much stronger in acceleration now. The downside is the shifts are rather brutal. I think I'm going to have to do a cam reset and relearn for the transmission. It might be my imagination but handling seems to be a bit easier as well. Possible side effect of a bad PTU being replaced.

Well I took my car for a drive after I got it back from the shop. I tried a bit of throttle and didn't know what the **** was going on. I had wheel hop and felt like maybe the transmission might be slipping. I thought maybe they had disconnected the battery and I had a cam resetting the transmission was confused. So I didn't another cam reset when I got home and did a careful drive for the transmission to relearn. Still wasn't shifting right after this. I thought **** could they have let the ****** fluid drain out and not topped it back off.
Well I was planning a drain and fill anyhow and lo and behold. Out came less than 2 l of dark glittery transmission fluid. To say I'm ****** is a little mild. I'm kind of wondering what kind of *** clown the mechanic was. Hopefully my train is not pooched soon.

That’s crazy they essentially left your transmission empty! Have you flushed the transmission since discovering the glitter?

Dark glittery transmission fluid is probably going to be a bit more than a fluid change. I'm starting to believe that anything related to Jordan's car may require a exorcism. Bad bad mojo going on.

Yeah I'm going to talk to the owner when he gets back from his extended weekend.

Yeah not a heck of a lot of fluid in the Caitlyn Jenner. I flushed it twice and I'm going to flush it once more.

Well after the refill in the drain and refill. ****** seems to be working all right keeping my fingers crossed for the long term though. I did talk to the mechanic and he thought because it was bubbling up that it was full. Never check the dipstick. Nice guy but not doing best practices at his job.

On a lighter note. I had the hood up on the car and I noticed something I usually catch on to right away.
There's a weather's seal on the leading Edge of the hood. Now the cold air intake, takes in air in front of the air conditioning condenser. But it's bifurcated so that half the intake takes air from that point and the other half takes air from above the filler panel. So I partially closed the hood and realized the weather stripping was blocking half the airflow. I trimmed the weather seal up and now air can be taken from the top half the cold air intake.
Pictures of the air and take with the hood not quite closed. So open about 2 or 3 inches.
