I was a sucker for all the facebook hype last fall and I bought an Ortiz tune. At the time I was running 12.2's full weight on Gearhead tune. Sent in the log and was told I had a boost leak based on fuel trims. First pull it sounded like someone driving a manual with the clutch halfway pushed in when it was trying to shift into 2nd gear. After being told I had a boost leak, I sent Luis a log from gearhead tune where it held 17 psi of boost in 3rd and 4th gear. Response I got was basically "well we tune differently than other people, send another log when you fix that boost leak". Couple weeks later I ran my 11.75 with gearhead tune.

First I would like to say, I'm only conveying my experience, not talking c r a p. Lee has done a ton for this platform and I'm not trying to take anything away from what he's done. I appreciate his quick responses and willingness to help. Heck, just having a place for us to discuss our experiences (good, bad or ugly), is proof that he's going the extra mile.
With that being said, I had the exact same experience as

The only difference is I didn't go run an 11.75 after, mostly because I'm too stubborn to pull out the seats and whatnot, but almost verbatim this part:

The shifting really concerned me, between it sounding like a new driver slipping the clutch, and a few really hard shifts when trying to pass someone... I switched back to GH and all is good, it pulls really hard, holds boost fine and shifts buttery smooth.
I do have hot pipes on the way, so maybe I'll give it another try after I get those on, but I'm not sure why I can hold 17psi on my GH tune but not the Ortiz tune.
Does a boost leak really care who tunes the car?
