Been running the ao tune for a little over a week now. Been experimenting with it for bracket races, so far undefeated with ao tune.

Found myself on an empty road so figured I may as well do a dragy run. Half tank of gas, spare tire in trunk but back seats out. Was pleasantly surprised considering how warm out it was.

Did my transmission fluid since it hasn't been done in a little over 25k miles. Fluid looked pretty good coming out, nice red color and no metal flakes from what I could see. It definitely shifts a little smoother (maybe placebo?) and the shudder I'd get at 55-60 mph is gone now.

Well today I went down to Gearhead tuning and had them install the power package and had them tuned for me.
Grrrrr I tried to get them to install a tune and power package. Said he couldn't do it. So I bought an Ortiz package and installed it myself and very happy.

Nothing against Gearhead just was unhappy they were so close but wasn't able to provide any services.

Couldn't do it for a sho? Surprising...

I installed all my WeatherTech goodies. All the floormats and rear trunk have been replaced. I bought the luggage "corral" system from them, and also installed those rain shields on all the windows. After I get back from an upcoming road trip I'll probably go ahead and order some go-fast goodies from GH. While more power is cool, I'm actually looking forward to the improved fuel mileage and shifting (at least from what I've read about their tune).

Finally got around to mounting my remote battery terminals. Was actually able to retain factory battery post connections. Now just got to run my positive cable from the terminal to my trunk as that’s where I intend to mount my battery.

What do you think?
I separated them but they have to go back in as a unit. Hopefully it'll slow down heat transfer to the intake manifold.

Had to put a new battery in the SHO yesterday. The two year trend continues. New battery was free however.

I have a upgraded AGM battery and my SHO killed it even with a battery tender when I wasn't driving it. It has a 3 year warranty, so I guess they will replace it again in two years.
It’s the heat. Same thing happens to us in Texas.

I was dreading the process of wrapping these, relieved I’m done. Will see how they hold up to the wet PNW…

Do you live anywhere near snow or salt water? Wrapping helps control heat, but they can also accelerate corrosion. If it's warm and where you live...no worries. Cold and rainy.. I would have just stuck with heavy applications of ceramic coating.

Life is like a box of chocolates. So this happened one minutebefore I was going to start working on the car.
