I couldn't get mine to work until I tried it with all doors closed. I was trying and trying the night I got my car after I found the factory code but I had the driver door open. As soon as I randomly decided to close the door the code worked. Good luck!

I will try that this weekend. Thank you sir.

Random issues with the garage door opener. Some days it works perfect opening and closing the door (from inside and outside the garage). Others it won't open or close it (from either location).

The double beep on exit with car running and key on you. That I hate. FU car! Yeah, I know you’re running, cause I left it that way!!!! So stupid. I know it’s curable with forscan but I haven’t messed with it yet.
I really, really hate this.

Is there a way to turn it off?

Ok, I didn't read the whole paragraph.

How dangerous/useful is forscan? What amazing things can you do without bricking computer modules?

I wish there was a media Pause button when playing BT audio either on the steering wheel or the console with the tune/vol controls. I'd prefer not to have to go through menus to find the button on the screen.

Forscan is pretty simple. I figured it out quick, then again I am a tech geek millennial.
There is a way to pause media, let me figure it out again and I'll let you know. I used to do it all the time

The cupholder is a pain. Won't hold two Dunks cups or even reasonably sized soda cups -- the passenger's and driver's cups interfere with each other. Another 1/4 inch of space is all that is needed. Any workarounds?

I drive too much like a ***** for cups with crud lids. Bottles son.
When I bought my first sho new in late 2012, I never owned a vehicle with cup holders. And they got like 9 cup holders

Yes, you can with forscan. From what I’ve read, and heard about here it’s as simple as changing a digit in a line of code. In my un computer savy ways just never took the time to get it figured out.

All I've been able to do is either pause it on my phone, or else go to the media screen and press the button there. Oh, and I guess you can press the voice button and say "pause". But it should be simpler than that. There should be a button with the other "hardware" buttons imho.

Trying to remember what I did but I may of just hit the power button in the center of the Sony system ****. And when I would hit it again my phone would re link and un pause fairly quick. Probably differs on the type of phone and music app.

Always having to push the recirculate button on the A/C unit upon starting the car. Why can't the controls (all of them) remain as they were when you turned off the ignition?

I wish the climate settings for changing from vent to floor etc. were visible one-touch like the heat or ac seat and heated steering wheel one-touch buttons are. Having to tough 2 or 3 times is more time with your eyes not on the road. Same with ending a route on the nav. And speaking of the nav, is there a way to turn up the volume? Its quite a bit lower than the music/radio volume. Biggest gripe for me is the steering wheel: Need more tilt, baby.

I'm skinny and wish it had more tilt also. Always feels to high. My 90 miata you can't adjust anything on the steering wheel, but it's perfect for me....and most women lol

My Nav volume was low when I first got the car, I was able to turn it up when the “voice” came over the speakers. While it was saying something like left turn ahead, I would turn the volume dial up. Hope that works for you.

Edit: clarity

The auto high beam sensitivity is annoying and I have done the same thing to numerous people. I've also had the reverse happen to me. Seems the system doesnt like motorcycles.

@wraitherx

Automatic High Beam Sensitivity Adjustment
NOTE: This procedure switches between the 2 available sensitivity settings (near and far) and provides user feedback by cycling the high beams.

NOTE: The sensitivity setting can also be changed using the scan tool.

NOTE: The battery must be within normal operating range or the setting change may not take effect.

  1. Preconditions must be met before the automatic high beam sensitivity setting can be changed. Make sure:
    • the vehicle is in PARK (P)
    • the ignition is in RUN
    • the low beams are on (high beams are off)
  1. Cycle the headlamp switch from the HEADLAMPS ON to the AUTOLAMPS position 3 times within 2 seconds, ending with the HEADLAMPS ON position.
  1. Cycle the flash-to-pass feature 3 times.
  1. The high beams cycle on then off automatically to confirm the sensitivity level has changed.

The brakes on my 2011 were pathetic. Ordered police interceptor rotors, calipers, brackets and back plates.
Huge improvement! about $400 for parts. They should have been on there to begin with...
