Just purchased a '15 SHO for work after changing jobs and had to get me a daily driver. I've always liked the looks and engine of the SHO and recently drove a '17 Expedition with the same motor. I'm in the Petrochemical Refining business therefore American made, gasoline engine, and not too fancy were all necessary aspects I was looking for. The SHO fits the bill perfectly with a bit of kick under the hood!

Congrats on the new car and welcome!

You will want to keep up on the fluid changes with these drivetrains. Especially the PTU, they are a known weak spot and don’t like the heat.

Guys,

I hear of performance model SHO's...how can you tell if your car has this option? Are there build sheets available by Vin# like the ones available for my 911?

Easiest way to tell is to look at the door jam on the driver side and look at the all white sticker with your build specs. Look at Axle Code (bottom middle) and if it's 1A you're non-PP (2.77 gears), if it's 2A you're a PP (3.16 gears).

If you're a pre-2015 model you can go to the Ford website and print your window sticker, and the ford maintenance database offers a free build sheet breakdown by VIN number for most model years.

Thanks for the info. I'm definitely non-PP.

I'm in the Barker Cypress / Spring Cypress area! :D Although I also live in Midland and for the past two years have been spending most of my time there building a new district.
