I have taken a moment to compile a list of components of basically everything you need for the short block here.. Hope this is of use to those who don't want to use a big box store for their short block and are fine playing parts runner!

I also got with Ortiz and got my own coupon code up for 6% off items on their website so that's added in here also. CODE: autoracing (reference to my youtube channel name)

With that being said all these costs are assuming you are NOT reusing your stock block. This isn't going to be organized super well but gets the idea across. The items from Ortiz are optioned basically for extreme duty on all sides of things except the rods which are the H beam rods.

ortizperformance.com
Rods $603.30
https://www.ortizperformance.com/product-page/manley-3-5l-3-7l-forged-4340-h-beam-connecting-rods

Pistons w/ rings -.5cc w/ extreme duty $987.34 (CSS recommends using oversized pistons and boring. I personally have oem size with a light hone to straight after css process, but either works)
https://www.ortizperformance.com/product-page/manley-forged-piston-set-of-6-3-5l-ecoboost

Main bearings - race 131.25
https://www.ortizperformance.com/pr...ring-set-2010-2019-ford-3-5l-ecoboost-3-7l-v6

Crank Bearings - race $149.10
https://www.ortizperformance.com/pr...ring-set-2010-2019-ford-3-5l-ecoboost-3-7l-v6

Total $1,870.99
autoracing -6% discount code
$1,758.72

Tasca I didn't price match anywhere else so cross reference prices maybe. OEM parts have 2 year warranty pretty sure

Total $1195 + shipping

SHORT BLOCK PARTS COSTS $3949.95

This is almost everything you need with the exception of main bolts. Originally I went with OEM bolts, then moved to ARP hardware. The choice is yours as I think the job will be accomplished with either. Trans is still the weak link. Take all this to a machine shop of your choice and have them bore/hone depending on piston size. Mains will also need checked. You'll want to balance the rotating assembly. Assume at the worst $1,000 in machine shop work. (My total machine shop cost was $720 for reference)

Will it build oil pressure
Love you buddy!
Ooooo just watched that video.
Glad to see some documentation of your work @Jordan_R
At the rate of no one contacting me, I'll probably be stuck doing the engine project myself anyway.

I see you mention aftermarket trans cooler and torque converter. Did your car have a trans cooler stock?
Want sure if that was just a PP thing or not. I see mine is just a little tyke but there is one at least.

Just the trans cooler built into the AC condenser radiator which is crap. My car is non pp so it doesn't have the upgrade

Not sure if you did it or not.
Very easy to do. Buy the aux cooler. Your crash bar already has threaded holes on the bottom to mount it. T off the tranny lines to it with hoses and run both coolers (as i do). Or just run to the aux cooler and cap off the stock condensor one. You can also replace the tranny thermostat to a lower temp one which is very easy also and easy to get to in the block thing lol

I got rid of the ac radiator completely and added a trucool40k trans cooler. It's pretty beefy

Any idea what the difference between regular vs extreme duty means in regards to where it is an option? In other words, do I really need it?

Do you think there is any advantage to going 10 or 20 over?
I suppose if you went 20 over and had damage you're screwed. Thoughts?

Last thing .. Why race over standard on bearings?

Sorry if some of this is dumb. Just want my ducks in a row. Think I'm gonna do er mahself!

It’s a Ford Taurus Select, right? ;)

Lol. Didnt know they could not have the ac seats. Ive seen some weird shos, ive seen them without the sony console and my window sticker says mine was standard with it. Ive seen them with almost no options. Maybe special order.
I think ac seats was 401a group or whatever they call them

Tasca saying these parts are incompatible w 2013 SHO. Is this due to the raptor crank?

Sent from my SM-G988U1 using Tapatalk
Because it technically isn't compatible with 13 SHO because the SHO itself went under these same changes in 16+ so if you were to try to use any of these 16+ parts on your 13 other components would not be compatible. i.e. 16+ stuff can't bolt with the 13 stuff you already have so you need to get all the pieces to the puzzle on the 16+ stuff
