Or a Marauder

A sharp, low mileage, Marauder would be nice. I’d miss some of the technology. But you could always turn it into a restomod. But it’s finding one that would probably be the hardest part.

You'd probably pay more for one of those than another SHO

I’ve always wanted one. They were still $10-12K when I was looking 15 years ago. And, that was with 100k miles.

So its kinda felt like the trans was slipping but my tires are also shot and the roads have been wet so I thought it might be tires. Heading home from work it was definitely a transmission issue, so when I got home I ended up adding 3.5 quarts to it. So now that's another thing to look for when I go and do an oil change this week.

3.5 quarts....?

Goodness. That low huh?

Definitely a must look for sure. Perhaps even prior to that next oil change as you say.

Monday is the next day I only work 8 hours, so its gonna have to be then. I'm gonna see how it feels on the way in today but yeah, that's almost a gallon. I'm just glad I still had a case of fluid in the shop.

Okay that one looks way better than the cueball ones I've seen. I really like it.

So sidenote, the taurus drove great on the way in. Like a new car almost. Which is terrifying, because it means it's been slipping this whole time. Turns out it doesn't have tire spin on the 1-2 shift like I thought, nope, that was just the transmission.

Added a Fuel-It Bluetooth ethanol sensor. You have to buy the sensor which is $200 plus hose and fittings were about $115 from Summit. The also make buy the app for $4.99 Lolol. I will say that it works great! The bracket you see pictured is temporary. I’m going to get a couple pieces of aluminum welded up later this week.

The App itself is pretty solid! When you hit connect it takes about 1 second to pair and gives you an instant reading. I have not encountered any problems or bugs with the app yet.

It has a calculator that works alright but could be better. You cannot change the ethanol level for the for the E85 which is pretty dumb. Luckily my local Sunoco is pretty constant at 87-88.

I also had @802SHO’s wheels bolted up on Saturday. A dude that works at the shop has a stock GTR. He mentioned that we should race sometimes while talking about the car. Of course I said yes!

I didn’t realize that he wanted race when I picked up the SHO. I had my son with and his friend with me so I couldn’t race him. These dudes put the Nitto drag radials on the BACK lol.

i was on a time crunch so grabbed the keys and as I pull out I notice the GTR pulling out about 50’ to my left. That’s when I realized ole boy wanted to race right now! He pulls out first and hammers it off the rip. I couldn’t resist so I pulled out behind him and did the same. When the turbo’s spooled the SHO took off -roasting the Conti’s on the front! I caught up with the GTR pretty quickly once the turbos spooled but I’m not sure if he was still WOT. I don’t think he realized I had kids with me until he pulled out on the street. About 500’ down the road was a traffic light that turned red, I stopped and he went back to the shop.

I was pretty impressed with ole girl considering the attempted sabotage lol. Hopefully I can get a clean race against him this week, I bought a dash cam last night JIC.
I put the Nitto’s on the front when I got home. It looks like I’ll be getting some H&R springs sooner than later!

Looks goooood!!! Lol that f$&$er put the DR’s in the rear! Well now you’ve got them in the right place for next time. Yeah looks like a suspension drop is in order.

In his defense rear should be the place for them, unfortunately we're still front biased.
I would normally agree but I specifically told them nitto’s on the front! Lol

They were 100 pct trolling me, which I appreciate. I have been known to zip tie the largest fish I can buy at the grocery store under someone’s car lol. Or release a few dozen feeder cricket’s into cab of someone’s truck. Or release a couple feeder mice into someone’s room -leaving a tiny red car and suit case in a visible location.

I dropped off my block a week ago and just went to drop off main studs. Well apparently everything happens for a reason but the CSS closed deck has raised enough to catch a finger nail on both sides.. which is extremely odd. So they are going to see about pressing it back in and decking it to be sure it's flush. Never heard of that happening before, but also don't know if anybody who only ran for maybe twenty minutes. Anywho not good but fixable.

Damn, good thing you caught it now. Like you said, everything happens for a reason.

I can only imagine the feeling your going to have on your first WOT pull. Exhilaration, fear, paranoia, doubt, exhilaration again!

Wish I could drive mine. I’m waiting for my unavailable everywhere alternator to come in from Tasca. Been driving the Edge, little bit more body roll than I’m use to, HA! And, it feels like I’m sitting on my roof.
