Hi, just wanted to share my thoughts on my 2010 sho I’ve had for a couple months now. I’m really enjoying this thing! It puts a smile on my face whenever I drive it. I’m pretty impressed with how quick it is for such a big car, this is my fourth sho and it’s definitely my favorite. I was driving it pretty hard the other day and I looked down and realized I was going 130 mph, it definitely had no problem getting to that speed and it handled it very well. I’m not positive but I thought 134 mph was where the limiter kicked in. I’m planning on getting a tune in the future so we can fix that pesky little problem. I’m so happy I got this thing, I bought it from a retired gentleman who bought it new and I actually had to wait almost 6 weeks for him to return from a vacation on his boat. That was a long 6 weeks, I was looking for other ones while I waited and they are very rare in this area “ north east ohio” and the ones I did see were at dealers, over priced and high mileage. So I feel very fortunate to have found this one, definitely worth the wait. I just thought I’d share how happy I am with this thing, So far the only issue I’ve had was a blend door actuator which was no big deal. Hope you are enjoying yours as well.

Welcome to the forum! I also bought mine from an older gentleman. He was a farmer and this was his church car, at 5 years old it only had 22k miles on it when I took delivery, as he traded it in on an F-250.

If we can help with anything, don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks for sharing, 3rdSho! :thumb: Pretty sure many of us are feeling fortunate, appreciative, and enjoying ours a great deal, as well .... with or without some degree of tune.

First off, in stock configuration the overall package isn't too bad for a vehicle of it's size. In my experience, feels like something in between your older, 350-400 HP AMGs from about 15-20 years ago and today's versions that handle better. A bit of a E Class / S Class tweener, minus the absolutely brutal V-8 shove of my 2009 C63 AMG. Oh, and that AMG V-8 sound.:eeeeeek: Hard to match.

But compared to some other SHO owners, I have done very little tuning and may not do anymore.
(OK, OK...I admit; not quite the skilled gearhead I'd like to be.:( ...... :hail: FiveLeeter918:omgsho:)

That said, the H&R springs were a must to hunker down a little more and get the handling right, though I was still somewhat content with the stock power. You know, for the most part, essentially 5.7 Hemi power in an EcoBoost package, right?

However, again from past experience with other vehicles, was also a no-brainer to get rid of some exhaust back pressure (straight-pipe) while adding a K&N Cold Air Intake & Drop In Filter on the intake side.

Yup, too bad Ford sold us out on our sedans,:madflame: but with any luck a lot of people still don't know or care about SHOs. Because, ****, I think I want another one!

I took the one a couple weeks ago when I had my muffler shop delete my perfectly good muffles. Anyone need some mufflers? I think they’re broke, they did not make any noise and that drove me nuts.

Welcome! I'm in central Ohio on my 2nd SHO. First one I had a little over 3 years and next spring will be 3 years for the current one. Still love driving it.

Lol the mufflers aren't broken. They are designed to be quiet. When you open the exhaust on these engines without a good muffler numerous things happen. Most will say (I am one of them) these engines sound like crap. The exhaust tone is just bad. Some people report drone at highway speeds. Others complain about rasp...

The stock mufflers are actually really efficient at flowing exhaust with little back pressure. The stock down pipes, 3rd cat, and stock resonator are the restrictions honestly.

Ridered74 are there any other owners in Ohio on here? I looked in the sho club area for NEO but I didn’t see any active members. It would be great to meet up with other members and enthusiasts.

Oh ya plenty. I've met quite a few at various tracks the last two years. Not sure how many there are cleveland area, closest I get to there is dragway 42 but I think there are a handful in the canton/akron area if you are anywhere near there.

Dragway 42 is having an event january 1st where everyone dials in at 20.21 seconds. There will be at least two of us at that event.

Shoblock here. Medina, Oh. I was the resident engineer for the cylinder block, working daily in the engine plant that produced all of our motors in Cleveland. The foundry is in Alabama, and I retired in January of this year. We have a condo in Florida, so I'm in and out of Ohio in Winter.

Shoblock, that is so interesting! Which ford plant? I don’t even know which ones are still operational. I’m minutes away from the old plant that was in Walton hills. Ridered74 I’ve never actually have been to a strip to run anything, I’ve always wanted to try it, I usually use my on ramp that is right near my house, lol I’d love to one day go and try it, especially on my Vmax. That thing is a rocket for a 35 year old bike. What is a realistic time a stock SHO can run? It sure gets going compared to other cars I’ve had that I thought were quick.

Stock would probably be anywhere from 13.3 to 14.0. Fun no matter how slow it is.

Welcome !!! Nice to see another Cuyahoga county license plate.
I’m in the Parma area, I definitely see a few SHO’s around here.
I like your color choice. Old pic but looks basically the same still.
