Went to Island dragway for a tnt today.. Took 3 Hits in the Dot lane first
run was against a 2020 mustang 500 Cobra.. 2nd is against a Mercedes amg
sedan . 3rd is a Cadillac sedan v8..
The Sho was hitting it low and I was cutting some good trees.. It's fun to take out the big dogs.. They might be faster but he who gets to the stripe first
wins..

Nice times, but am I missing something? Looks like you actually won one of three.

Read the very bottom of the slip. RT is part of it in a heads up race.

Yep.. For 15 years i have been racing in a class 500 pro tree.. The sportsman tree once you get in the groove and hit your mark you can cut some good lights.. A lot of these TNT guy's aren't drag racers there there to see what there car can do in a safe environment.. And there are some fast cars out there!!

Pro tree is a real bit@h!
TNTs are a fun way to make really fast car look bad and I do it all the time. And enjoy the $hit out of it.

So I WAS missing something. LOL! Thanks.

even tho someone has a faster 1/4 et may not have hit the end first. simple way is just add RT to 1/4 (1320) and the lower time is the winner on heads up. Now bracket racing is a whole different program.

All the years I have been bracket racing only made it to one final to be runner up.. I feel I'm better than that but it's just making mistakes and going against better racers.. Definitely tuff..

Some of those guys are pro bracket guy's. In the terms they have done it for 30 plus years. The 12.o up is the hardest for not going all in. Some of my best races are against the slower guy who can hit there dial every time! Let the tree be the decision!

Usually when people go to test and tune, they’re there to “test” and/or “tune”. They’re not focused on chopping down the tree, and they couldn’t care less what the guy in the other lane is doing. Winning a race usually requires that both parties know they’re racing.

I see a lot of the same people on TNT days and our track calls them Test and tune / grudge racing. All you have to do is ask someone in they want to race. go into the lane nose to tale and indicate to the guy at the end of the staging lane by a hand wave and he will pull the two cars threw at the same time. hence both parties know they're racing.

True.. The first two where probably leaving easy but the third one was a race
being i asked if wanted to go for a 100 he said he didn't have cash on him..
the cadi was going over a 120 mph in the previous runs so i know he tried
to hard..

I worked at a dragstrip for 7 years, so I'm more than a little familiar with the concept. But I can promise you nobody who's competing is going to have a 1.5s reaction time. That's my only objection really, the AMG that clearly was focused on something besides the tree getting "beat" in a single participant contest.
