Been Having a issue since I've been tuned in may. Car runs and drives great besides this pesky Low Rpm bounce/kick/shudder. It does not happen above 2k rpm or wot(including a dig). Only when driving normal and i need some light accel or come up on a hill and try to maintain speed. seems to mainly to be 3rd gear and up.
car shifts smooth, no issues there. Noticed when it starts kicking I just tap paddle to downshift and it clears up right away. Thinking TC but it doesn't slip the TC ratio stays .99 to 1.0 the whole time its kicking/shuddering on low rpm.

2013 SHO PP
62k miles
Recent drain and fill.

I’d rather not say openly on the forum.
I don’t wanna step on any toes and they are working with me to find the problem. Just curious what others might suspect. we have tried adjusting shift strategy a couple times already.
But it’s not you/gearhead.

Oh okay, u thought you might be running mine and bumping into what I call the "super cruise" load limiter that limits load at mid throttle before you get into power enrichment. If you don't have power enrichment above about a load of 1.5 you will get a lean misfire.

Interestingly enough I’ve never gotten misfire codes even though I’ve had this problem occur longer than a couple seconds when going up a incline. I’ve have noticed that it seems to only occur after I’ve been in that gear cruising on flat road and all the sudden I need light accel. If I’m coming from a stop and accel normal the whole time it slips normal and drives perfect up a slight incline road
So maybe a coincidence maybe not.

What I'm talking about won't give a misfire but will show up as kr

I had this same situation on my F150. Had the transmission flushed and it hasn't happened again after 100k miles. Also just recently one of our fleet f150's was doing the same thing and a trans flush cleared it up. I believe a clogged solenoid was screwing up the torque converter lockup

I’m gonna do a couple more drain and fills and see how it goes. In the Meantime More data logging

There's a huge difference between drain & fill, and a professional flush. You can drain the fluid 1,000 times and it won't dislodge anything that's stuck in a passage. And no amount of logging/tuning can fix a mechanical deficiency. I think you'd save yourself a lot of time, money and aggravation if you just start by having it flushed by a reputable transmission shop (not a Jiffy ****).

Well problem wasn’t occurring until I was tuned. So I don’t think It’s mechanical. But I’m going to give it a week or two to try and iron it out with the tune and I’m just gonna go back to stock before it does hurt something. Maybe try a gearhead tune and see how it goes.

Maybe it is mechanical and just happened to be the tune brought the problem to the surface. But I’ll find out when I go back stock.

Edit: I’ll note this tune runs great at the track and Mexico. Just not fun for daily driving.
I’ve went 8.1 at 86 mph on the stock pump e30 tune.

Just curious, in the event you described above, would that show up on a misfire counter?

Ahhhh I got ya now. Either way I don't think any more drain & fills would help you. I wonder if the harder shifts of the tune maybe loosened some debris? If it were me I'd defintely flash back to stock for the heck of it and see if it persists or not.

Might be a coincidence and not the tune. Other than transmission issues, I would look for a sticking EGR with this kind of behavior.

Hmm I not sure where to start haven’t seen anything on the forum about EGR.

I had the same issue so I had the dealer do a trans flush and the trouble cleared but just changing the fluid by draining and refilling system does not get the gunk out of the torque converter properly. The car drives like new again.
