Sounds good. Tell me more. Who scared you so much about your bracket failing? You know if the car catches fire and your bracket is the only thing left fully intact in the ashes...maybe there’s a sliver of credibility that you over engineered it...which is a very presumptuous statement...how could an engineer over engineer something...that never happens. The bracket you made really is a work of art...curves for days and rounded corners? Certainly something to show off...or maybe it’s too nice...maybe those extra details require more machining time/tools. Perhaps the original is entitled to the person who created it...but for selling purposes and overhead costs maybe it’ll be cheaper to square it up ..curves and corners. I think you need a salesman selling it for you..engineer it...but maybe leave selling to someone else. There’s a huge reason you have been sitting on these for 6+ months and I don’t believe it’s ultimately related to Wilwood performance. Wilwood...just same the name and better braking comes to mind. Did you forget you’re offering a bracket. You didn’t develop the calipers. All this fuss would be relevant if we were discussing S.E.P. Calipers...no we’re actually only talking about a single set of brackets here. The idea that the brakes will be so hot as to not affect the brake caliper paint...but distort and crack your brackets....like damn who scared the bejesus out of you with potential lawsuits over the idea that your bracket could fail and make the calipers...well let’s not forget they are still getting clamping force from the brake lines...the idea that what...the caliper and pads would fall off...the rotor that’s bolted to the hub by means of the wheel...how much tension do you think is on that bracket? I bet there’s a lot less than I would even guess. Maybe it’s beyond you to consider looking at your development again to revise it...but as time goes on and dust settles maybe you should have thought of this ...yesterday.

I think you can be successful at this Aaron...but this way. From one business owner to another...I truly hope you make it. And if you do go a different route with your brackets let me know. Shaving 20lbs off sounds really good right now.

******* dirt shooter. I will never read this whole post but it's easy to tell that you are drinking a big glass of haterade every morning. People like you are why forums are passing into obsolescence.

I’m sorry I feel like this is really an IQ test with laughable yet extremely sad results. What do you think a bracket does? It holds something in place. Holy shit

The ******* dirt shooting duo right here. Pass me that haterade guys.
My name is Matthew and I never said anyone is mean. I will say that I can spot bullies when they poke their ugly head up. And I know enough to know that every shit talker here would be much more polite to aaron240s face. Bunch of fakers.

Look there's a lot of pent up anger here on these forums because people always tell us our cars aren't race cars.... And its just hard you know **tears**, we are just doing the best we can man.
Because they aren't racecars. They are a rental car, with a cool motor, and questionable drivetrain.

However, thank you to everyone that is producing and bringing products to the market to make our rental cars more like racecars!

See all this oppression? This is what we have to deal with, THE ENEMY IS EVEN COMING FROM THE INSIDE!

Andrew these are all valid concerns. I'm very aware that a piece of metal with loads of features is going to be more expensive to machine than some basic geometry. The geometry of the bracket is dictated by the constraints of the knuckle, the rotor, and the calipers mounting requirements. As far as the radii are concerned, 90 degree sharp features on a piece of material such as metal without a radius will have a high stress concentration and create a point of failure with repeated load cycling. The radii are there for a purpose and need to be maintained. The bracket needs to be robust as the forces it will see coming down from high speeds really place a lot of stress on the bracket. Finally, to provide the required and a safe amount of clamping force from the fasteners there is a minimum amount of thread engagement that also has to be maintained. Also, I am working with my machine shop vendor and I believe pricing can def come down, but in order to have that happen a large order would need placed. I'm producing the 4 piston superlight kit and also the 6 piston with 15" rotor kit and will have them tested, via SM105k (Easton), so that the data is available before a group buy situation and customers/enthusiasts can make an informed decision. I didn't just drill 4 holes into a shiny machined piece of metal, I compiled multiple brake system performance upgrades for this platform, and without my R&D, would not be known or utilized.

Idk how you remain calm... Bravo sir for being professional.
I probably would have lowered the price to what they wanted, and shit in a box and mailed it. I'm sure they would have complained it was the wrong color.

Yes the cat is out of the bag. Yes I will be doing the testing hopefully the same day.

My stock set up vs the 4 piston. Same car, same tires and pressures, same weight, same road, same actual tests. I will be using dragy, actual distance markings, and data logs. I welcome any one local on this forum to come hang out with me all day while I do the testing.

We are finalizing the tests, and they will be extreme.

I'm pretty sure you can spray paint ****. As long as, like, its solid. So don't eat spicy food prior...
