Couple of observations.....

This was my fuel mileage on the FS HPFP with a 91 Octane Tune from AJP Turbo. Averaged 82 miles an hour, in 112 degree heat the whole trip. Not too shabby.

20200828 180639

This was the whole trip. 400 miles of it was on E40 ish as well.

20200907 161833

The return trip was 88 miles an hour on the 91 octane tune as well. Averaged 26.2 mpg. There are more down hill runs on the return trip.

By the looks of it I’d say you got your sea level pulls in

To be honest, I didn't at all. The car was loaded 95% of the time it was on the road. The other times were for a store run and an airport run. Once you get onto the "Island" there really isn't any reason to leave. Even though I drove almost 1300 miles....98% was freeway. I reached out for a couple of runs with people, but we just could not get something solid. Car did act different at sea level however, according to the butt dyno. Wish I would have done some Dragy Testing, or at least got some data logs, but it would probably just make me sad...because I cannot duplicate those conditions here in PHX.

This weekend plans. I am drilling and tapping the PTU, and doing a fluid swap. I will also do a 5 out and 5 in, and since I have 2800 miles on the oil it will get an oil change as well. I will also reload the E30 tune and actually get some dragy runs in. I need to get some data logs as well.

Another SHO owner is going to come over and we are going to drill and tap his PTU and RDU as well. I am going to do mine first, so it something were to happen...it is to mine. Also going to do a coolant swap, a 5 out and 5 in, and an oil change as well. All the fluid swaps!

How did the chin spoiler do on the long trip?

It did well. I was pleasantly surprised. I was worried most worried about tire treads from big rigs. In Redondo Beach the steep driveways were interesting. I wonder if the aero is improved? I know at 75 mph in stock form, my SHO would average right at 27 mpg on 91. If I average the mileage there at 25.4 mpg and 82 mph and the trip back I got 26.2 mph at 88 mph I got 25.8 mpg at 85 mph roughly. Add in lowering springs, bolts on's, and tune.....I call it a win.

I guess I could run the same test at 75 mph...

So.....I did a fluid swap tonight.

Oil change...check.

Transmission fluid 5 out and 5 in....check. Fluid looked great. Installed the fancy new plug set up from @Ecoboost_xsport.

Drill and Tapped my PTU....check. The Redline Lightweight Shock Proof looked great after 10k miles. However if you look at the picture something is wrong.

Figure it out? All 32 oz were in my PTU
....it fits. Annoying since they also overfilled my trans too. I put 18 oz back in.

Then I took her out and trashed on her. Ended the night with this.

Before the HPFP she would only hit a 4.2x on my LiveWire. On Dragy it said 4.12....so....3.96 it is! Lol. DA was 4546...so complete dog shit...lol.

Good night it was boys.

32 oz, huh? How did that happen? Did someone else do the previous service and overfill it? It isn't actually transfluid leaking past a seal into the PTU is it?
