Didn’t want to dirty up someone else’s thread, you said you were going to attempt to change your gray plastic cladding to black... any ideas how?

I am going to Herculiner them. I really like how it turned out on the chin spoiler. There are a couple spots on the cladding that need some attention.

Is it just me or does it look like they made black cladding on the 2019 model? Maybe it is just the pictures.

I did (have them painted, and then paint protection film applied afterwards).
They are black from the factory though. Albeit plastic and a very textured plastic at that.
My body shop peeps expressed their displeasure in how much effort it took on their part to arrive at a smooth, paintable surface.
Labor intensive.

They had to sand and fill three F'n times. They were *NOT* happy. Haha.
But they charged me accordingly.
