That’s directly from the TiAl website. Do your own research instead of jumping on here and expecting all of us to do it for you.

The problem is I'm looking for someone that knows what they are talking about for technical shit you can't just search for. And you wanna jump in here and throw down useless info that has nothing to do with what i asked because you dont actually want to help. How about instead of wasting everyone's time you just keep your mouth shut? I garuntee you if you cal Tial they will confirm you cant just run 30psi on a wastegate with a 7psi spring, reguardless of your controller, because there's simply TOO MUCH inlet pressure.

Jordan: "here's some totally useless info to what your questioning"
"Oh sorry dude thats not what i asked"
Jordan "well then **** off i won't help you:...("

There shouldn't be more lag with a higher spring. However part throttle will be tricky because the gates are closed until your hit the that specific boost pressure.

Considering he is trolling you, relax. He knows more then 99% of this board and does all of his own work.

Ok thats what i thought, I get that with our setup we should just stick to the 7psi gates. HOWEVER that was not my question. It was literally just does a heavier spring cause lag, and does a spring have anything to do with max boost.

Is ********** one word or should I spread them apart?

Is this not what you wanted? https://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/t...stegates-and-how-to-turn-up-the-boost.382016/

Are you not entertained!
Thanks ethanol, but I never actually asked how a wastegate works. I get that. And no none of that does answer my question unless its deeply hidden in tbere cause I see nothing about springs and turbo lag

A heavier spring will not cause lag. A heavier spring allows you run a higher boost pressure. However with that being said a heavier spring will cause low speed and part throttle complications. Just like Brad form AJPTurbo who Jordan quoted said.

From Brad my tuner when I was discussing getting ATP turbos to him.

" I wouldn't get anything over 7 or 8 psi for wastegate spring base pressure....Some people I have tuned got 10-14 psi base springs and it's too much and the throttle tuning at part throttle is tricky."

Given this is talking about ATP turbos so not sure how it crosses over but figure I'd drop it off nobody else responds

Damn, you comment basically the same thing and don't get attacked. Whack

perhaps I misused the word lag, wasn't meaning wot spool time. But glad we got that cleared up, Price is Right is about to come on...

Take this for what is it worth. You are pretty abrasive sometimes. **** between you, ***, and my son stripsho it is pretty entertaining. If you dial it down a couple notches you will probably get the info you are looking for without getting clowned on.
