So like I said machine shop is backed up so haven't heard anything from them however was bsing with my parts guy and we looked up a brand new block was only $627. So going that route and going to make a bad ass table out the other one. This saves me money in the long run because easily $600 in machining to be needed for the other assuming in needs slight cylinder work and a deck. Still going to have them check the new block and see the main caps clearances etc etc. But brand new block with no core for $600 and some change you can't beat that...

And saves me time at that

In the works..

wounder what a factory short block costs?
That's a good question. One guy I know quoted me $2000 flat who works parts at another store but don't know if the discount was the same.

Dude, pull the trigger on those PPE’s already.
Two weeks ago I built a cedar pergola and moved 4 tons of rock for the kids play area. Been raining all day and just found a water leak that's in my daughter's room, so I'll be redoing some drywall this weekend to avoid mold as well as fix the leak. Eventually, I'll get a set of DP's

Internals ordered! And I believe I've solved the crank timing sprocket issue. I want to make this information public when I'm finished so anybody looking to do the same crank swap can get her done. I know it's been done but the people doing it have been pretty quiet so far! Going to have parts from a few different ecoboost models going into it lol

Also asked my parts guy and he said short block is $1800 employee price

Also my parts guy just figured out that apparently when you order a new short block you have to order this same timing sprocket and updated crank pulley. So there have been revisions made at some point in the engine making process

So basically we figured it out when the information was right in front of us lol

LOL, you might as well send that block over to CSS and get it closed decked, lol....
Maybe, but still figuring that out. Not exactly looking to spend the $1,500 to support the same amount of power if there is no issue supporting it already. Really more worried about the trans than I am a closed deck really.
