Hello Everyone,
I just recently did an overhaul on my 2011 Taurus Sho non pp brakes. I upgraded to the 13+ Sho Heavy duty rotors, calipers, Backing plates and pads also flex hoses into the rear calipers. I did break a rear speed sensor that has put an ABS & TCS light on the dash, the new speed sensor is suppose to come shortly so I can fix it.
The issue I'm having is when I accelerate quick then press the brakes the cars brake pedal goes hard and stays high making grinding noises and wont let me stop unless I pump the brakes or until it decides to let me stop. Any time I accelerate in drive or reverse same thing happens. If I drive slow no issues but the moment "boost" is applied the car wont brake at all unless I pump it or it decides to stop. I read that the 13+ brake upgrade doesn't require a new brake booster or master cylinder. The brakes were bled and fluid is full. The brake pedal isn't soft but doesn't feels like it could become firmer. No leaks anywhere and No vacuum leaks that I'm aware of car was fine before swap. Car also Idles fine doesn't drop rpms when pressing the brakes.
My questions are:
Has anyone had this issue when upgrading to the 13+ brakes? if so what was the fix?
Is this due to the broken rear speed sensor causing the ABS & TCS light maybe messing the car up?
Any help is appreciated!
Thank you
Scott
