Hi Shoforum! I'm excited to join and show you my new to me 2013. It has 98K and is pretty clean in and out. I live in the northeast so wanted something fun and good in bad weather. It was either a previous gen charger R/T with AWD or and AWD SHO. It runs pretty well and I had a mechanic check it out before the purchase. I'd like to tap into the collective wisdom to ask a few questions.
-First any recommendations for proper care? I've read changing all the fluids is a good place to start.
-Also the previous owner added what I think is black vinyl wrap over the chrome(or whatever it is) around the side passenger windows and strip across the deck lid. Looks good from a distance but when you get closer you can see how its aged and peeling off. Do you think some heat from a hairdryer is a good way to remove it? I don't want to damage the paint or the chrome (or whatever it is) underneath.
-Finally, Had the interior professionally cleaned and detailed and found some SHO carpeted floormats. Next I'll take it back for the exterior, for a buff and wax. The shop also recommended a coating for the wheels and tires that protects and keeps the break dust from clinging as much so it washes off very easily. Any recommendations around this?
Thanks!
