In the catted department, does anyone have any technical data or compelling reason to choose one over the other outside of opinion or personal preference on the best choice for pipes?

With that said, I’m also open to opinion’s. ;)

From what I've read through several different forums is that the PPE is the only catted downpipe to fo sho not throw a check engine light on this platform. Reason why I contacted PPE about a set of pipes on my build because I wanted a product I could stand behind.

So that being said I totally recommend giving them a shout. I have heard people having issues with every other aftermarket catted downpipe.

TRUE! I ran my PPE pipes for a very long time without a tune, and had no codes, I don't have any information on the Stainless pipes but I know for a fact PPE's are build by hand in the USA. Now in truth the Stainless do flow a tick more that's why they throw codes and PPE's don't. But IMHO the PPE pipes are one of the best built things I have purchased in a long time. Sorry I don't have anymore technical data for you.

I see they come in 2 different finishes , are the black ceramic coated ones any better at letting off less heat ?

I had mine ceramic coated in silver, the only thing I can tell you is this. When I visit my folks I park in the back yard on the grass, with the stock pipes I always burned spots in the grass, you could actually make out the outline of the converters. My Dad was none to happy and I was banished to the driveway for awhile, after I installed the ceramic coated pipes I no longer burned the grass, so it would seem to me they do cut down on the heat.

Can anyone tell me the approximate length of the Downpipes? I’m trying to get a quote together to get them coated and I can’t find length dimensions for them anywhere.

Thanks for the reply’s though. I was leaning PPE because I haven’t read a single complaint. Just figured there’s no better way to gauge quality in something then by asking people who actually own them.

Ain’t it! Not a single stainless works fan in the crowd? I do like to zig when everyone else zags but when you’re dropping a grand on a couple pieces of pipe you better be sure it’s money well spent.

I do have to pass an emissions test and I remember reading a couple places that people have said that the Stainless Works didn’t pass or threw codes so that was the main reason I was leaning towards PPE.

Make a good product and people will promote it for you! PPE is living proof of that!

Speaking of, I just opened the box with my Dicunzolo torque mounts, very nice. I’ve only seen pictures of the SSM ones, these seem like they are far superior.

That seems to be the consensus.
