Hi Guys,

I recently had the opportunity to drive a brand new 2019 SHO and really liked it. I’ve looked at numerous YouTube reviews of 2013-2019 SHOs and they all seem to be the same design / features with a few "minor" changes.

If you were to recommend a model year to try and find a used SHO, what would be your recommendation? Also, any model years to stay away from?

Thank in advance - Mike

The newer the better IMO. This way you can take good care and know the first 50,000 miles had proper maintenance. You can find tons of left overs from the previous year models and really beat down a dealer for a solid deal with the new models coming out.

That being said, these cars depreciate in value quite a bit so you can find some great deals on 2015-2016s with low mileage lease trade ins.

2016+ seem to have smallest amount of TSBs
Everytime I see one they seem to jump 2016 although after 3 years my heated seat burned a wire
Curious what that's about having Ford look at it Tuesday

2016+. You will get Sync3. If you want seat massagers 2016 or 2017. Also, easy/entry exit is gone in 2019 models not sure about 2018.

Anything low mileage and 2013+, gives you the better upgraded brakes. Any pp car gives you all the extra coolers n lower gears...

the best value is usually in the lease return age, so around 3 years old. its the supply/demand thing.

I agree.

I have a very clean 13 PP that is fully loaded. Leather, Massage/Heated and Cooled seats, heated steering wheel. Only thing is doesn't have is the adaptive cruise.

It was my understanding that the 2013 was the only year you could get PP with adaptive cruise.

Maybe I should start a Forscan search.....

Self parking yes adaptive cruise no. Only because they were available separately that year. After that they were bundled and not available on PP cars.

Does the parking assist and the adaptive cruise use the same radar?

Adaptive cruise may or may not use some of the Park assist radar but it definitely has additional radar that from the factory takes the same space as the additional cooling in the PP which is the reason they you cannot get both.

Interesting, thank you for the information.

Consider looking at Lincoln MKS Ecoboosts. Same drivetrain, loaded and better looking, IMO. They cost more to begin, but depreciate faster. You'll likely find a much better deal on an MKS than a SHO.

That's exactly what I did and on the plus side, you'll see even fewer MKS's running around.
