Sorry for your trouble That's why i don't go to the dealer except for a recall overpriced thiefs. I do my own oil, plugs and found a mechanic i trust for pain in the butt jobs.

Talk to the service manager and hope you get a chance to rate your visit. Then you can rip them and see what happens if the service Mgr didn't help.

Was it a CPO deal? Either way, I think a call to the Customer Support 800 number is in order to at least let them know the dealer is a piece of crap ;)

Probably not, but you may be able to find another ford or lincoln place to do warranty work if you are within reasonable distance to get it there.

Exactly why I’m probably gonna get a refund on my ESP and just work on the car myself. Any local Ford dealer I have ever dealt with has shown nothing but indifference, incompetence, or even downright criminal behavior. Not one single time have they been able to fix anything properly on any of our 10 plus Fords in the last 15 years. I mainly got the warranty because often I don’t have time to do the work myself, but I usually end up doing it anyway, so I’m not sure why I’m so hesitant to drop it. Lol

This is one more reason that I suggest guys take their EcoBoost vehicles to a Lincoln dealer rather than a Ford dealer - they have more experience with the EcoBoost in most cases, and they are used to actually taking care of the customer.

Just go see your sales manager and say this: "Before I leave my Google and Yelp reviews, I just wanted to give your dealership the opportunity to make this right".

Does your state not have laws concerning tire and brake conditions? We do here in Canada.

Roger that. I've used this tact before and it tends to work. Good luck and let us know how things progress.

On another note, I like the suggestion of using Lincoln dealer. Have to try that out. Coming from a Lexus, I miss the VIP service and attitude you get at Lexus and BMW, etc

I didn’t know stand alone Lincoln dealers still existed. All the ones I’ve seen in the last 5 years ago were Ford/Lincoln dealers. It was at one of these dealers the service advisor argued with me and tried to tell me our old Ecoboost 2.0 Fusion wasn’t turbocharged. Lol

Does your state require safety inspection...and if so, did the dealer perform this? If so...that may help your cause. Was the SHO bought "As Is"? That would hurt your cause. Was it a CPO? All these questions can help and unless the I missed it...the OP hasn't answered the CPO part.

Heck, I agree that it bad to see a car with a tire like that. I also can understand on the dealer's side as the car has been in the new owner's hands for a month and they don't know when the tire was plugged.

OK, so I went to my local Ford dealership and asked to have the ptu oil changed. It's a 15 sho, pp, w/33k miles. They said, "why? We never see any issues with these" I told them that I had been reading otherwise. They still would not do it. So I left and in a couple days I got a survey in email to which I made it clear that I was not happy. Next couple of days I got a call from a friend I know that works there, he was begging me to redo the survey saying that I was now ok. Something about some kind of rating that was going to be hurt. The next time I went in, they were very nice. Still no ptu oil change, but I didn't ask again. This was in Little Rock Arkansas.

I recently switched dealers because of issues with the one closest to me. Part of this was not getting a loaner since most dealers won't give you one if you didn't buy the car from them but there were other service issues and having to go back as things weren't corrected as they should.

Since OP is local I went back to Smithtown and just had the PTU replaced without an issue and much friendlier staff. I bought the car from them but have used them years ago as well with my Lincoln LS. I will not go back to Ramp Ford.

I had a similar issue with my moonroof leaking where i got them to split the cost of repairs. To be fair they did pay completely to repair a broken molding on the driver seat controls that i noticed after having the car 2 days.

If my selected dealer near me, (not the one I bought the car from), tries to do the same with me, it won't end well for them. It's a Ford warranty condition, not something at the whim of the dealer. I will be getting service and warranty work done by them, so they had better treat me right. As I get older and crankier, I seem to put up with less BS than when I was a young lad. lol.

Little Rock should have a few Ford dealer choices. I would look for a more reasonable shop. If you have the $ what do they care?
