I am in the market before they stop building them in March. I still see quite a few new 2017 for sale at nearly 10k off msrp. As far as the 2018 do you think demand will increase much to get one before they are gone? Going forward do you think the pricing will go up or down? I can probably buy at anytime, but wondered if I should wait and try to get a better deal. I guess I could wait through the summer and see if any 2017 are left, and if not then look at 2018. I am looking to drive and not collect this car.

I don't see demand going up too much for the 2018. If you are patient you might find one for 18k off sticker. I did. Just keep looking.

Can I ask what you got and what you paid? A dealer near me has a new 2017 that is about 11 k off MSRP and the same car but a 2018 at about 9 k off. I see some dealers trying to get exactly MSRP. Will they have these cars on their lot 2 years from now?

It is a 2015 Non-PP. It is loaded as far as options. The MSRP was something like 48.5k. I got it for 30k. It had been on the dealer lot for 1 year which means they could no longer sell it as a mew car. If they don't come down off of MSRP then I think they will have them in 2 years.

If memory serves, there's about $5500 right now in incentives on new 2018 Taurus models. When I got mine in December, it was $5000. I think if anything...you'll see the incentives remain about the same.

I doubt the 2019 pricing will change much, if at all. I haven't seen the 2019 order guide yet...but have been watching for it.

I don't know how a dealer can sell one of these for $9000 off the actual MSRP....puts it way under invoice.

I bought a last year Excursion new in 2005...and there was no great rush to buy them back then.

If I knew someone who was looking to get one of the last SHOs, I'd suggest ordering exactly what they want new.

Ford gives the dealer money back when they have 9000 off MSRP. Dealer incentives are usually limited to maybe 3k with Ford throwing in the rest.

I'm looking at the incentives grid for the Philly Region. Until the end of May, if you finance a 2018 Taurus at Ford's standard rates, there's a total of $5500 in Total Cash from Ford. Or, get 1.9% for 60 months plus $2500 Cash Back. It may go up for Memorial Day Sales...

Around Indiana the 2018 $47,300 MSRP with driver assist, lane keeping with adaptive cruise is listed 38K even. That offer good through July 9. The same car but a 2017 is 36K even.

A few months before I bought my 2015 I test drove a 2016 with the exact same options but black instead of Ruby red. They offered it to me for 39000. A few months later I found my new/used 2015 offered for 32k. I offered 30k and they took it.

FWIW....the current Philly market incentives on a 2017 total $6750. There may be other incentives from the factory on leftovers.....

I just picked up my 2018 SHO and by the time it was said and done I ended up with $8500 off. They had 3 identical models on the lot and the one I got was there for 155 days so it was cheaper then the other two. Not by much lol

Thanks. Dealers in NE Indiana have about the same. Most cars here are in black without the performance package. I am afraid that package might make the car ride too hard so I want the base SHO. Dealers must feel the same. Which car did you get and what do you love about it?

Find one that the dealer has had on the lot for >365 days. In Texas, at least, they must sell as used. Automatic 5k drop in price.

I am a new member and have not picked up my car yet. I will be getting it this coming Tuesday
they are taking 9 thousand dollars off sticker . they are very hard to come by down here , South Fl.,the only dealer that had stock was Mullinax and it was 200 miles away from my home but I do believe it is worth it. In my opinion I would not wait many more months and possibly take the chance of not getting this type of discount on an 18. Who really knows when they will stop production on one of the best sleepers of all time

Is there anyway to look up a stock number or VIN to see how long a car is on the lot?

Around here in Indiana you can also get 9000 off a 2018. But you can get 11,000 off a 2017.
