Knowing Livernois there is probably a reason their upgraded HPFP is 1500.00, and XDIs is less than half the cost, I am just curious what all of you think? I am planning on going e85 with my SHO and everything I have read is you need 25% more than stock to do so, and the xdi is 35%. Also I am assuming you should upgrade the injectors as well, does anyone have any suggestions?

First you need the "Severe Duty" HPFP which is $2500, not the $1500 one. 10 thru 12 will need injectors, and from what I have told as of right now the '13+ cars don't. You will need a "boost-a-pump" to send more fuel to the bigger HPFP. This isn't a cheap to do, also you need a tune for either pump just for the car to run and idle.

Yeah I was expecting around 7k and it was considerably more than that, so I am probably going to do the turbos locally and maybe the HPFP as well I have a 2016, so you are saying I probably don't need new injectors? I may just take it to them for the dyno tune and if injectors are needed maybe that also. I will probably just do it in stages, turbos first (I realize this won't help much without added octane) then maybe the hpfp, then the injectors if needed. LMS didn't say anything about a booster for the HPFP, so I will have to look into that.

Also has anyone already done the HPFP Upgrade and running e85, I am just curious what type of hp/tq gains you saw with doing this... Thanks

I believe Rich Yaklin was undertaking this project of going full E85.

Heard he was running into some challenges lets say, & replacing his injectors was one of them.

Not entirely sure if he was able to nail down a tune yet through LMS.

Still a work in progress from what I understand.

Does he have a 13+? I'm just trying to figure out most ahead of time since it is my DD, so I don't have to borrow or rent a car for too long.

Soo the LMS kits include the tune, the correct fuel lines, and the pump. AFAIK the DX pump is just the pump maybe the correct lines but no tune.

Yeah they don't sell just the pump and tune, and to run e85 it's a lot more, there are just a lot of things that I can do myself that I probably should just do first, then have them do what I can't, to minimize the time I have to be without a car.

Kinda blows the theory that our car were designed with E85 in mind... I know that theory has been floating around.

There is a difference between being E85-compatible and E85-ready. The fuel system is E85 compatible (i.e., fittings & lines) at least for 2013+, but not ready pressure/volume-wise.

Okay I guess my question is different now, things change when the price is about the same, do you all think the potential power will be more with full e-85 or with meth injection? I just want to make the correct choice for the future when someone hopefully comes up with a transmission that can handle more power?

I would say bar none, Meth.

For a myriad of beneficial reasons.

Bpd how close would my SHO be in horsepower to your car with the ATP turbo setup and meth injection on the stock motor? I know you have a lot of engine mods, I was curious how much of a difference it makes in the long run. My total if I added the turbos and meth, would be windstorm cai, cooler thermostat, pre gapped plugs, Corsa exhaust, catted downpipes, 93 livernois tune, and then the ATP turbos and meth injection, I don't think I missed anything but maybe I did, basically everything but meth and upgraded turbos on a stock engine

Running meth would just put you under the limit of the stock internals. Putting on ATPs would put you over that. That's where I'm at now. I just put just installed the Alky Controls meth kit this past Feb. With the V10 meth tune you are close to the 490HP at the motor, which is about 400awhp. The danger area is 450AWHP on the stock internals and oil pump. I'm at $1050 total cost this year for running meth, that included the meth kit. I'm very happy I went this way.

What will it take to be around 500 awhp? 10000+ package on LMS site says can take you in to the 11s, I don't see doing 11s in a 4400 lb car without around 500, or am I wrong?

Yeah you need a built motor, ATPs, meth. To go deep into the 11s, plus a big wallet. Yes tires, suspension, track condition, weather conditions all play into it, also track location too. East coast has some of the fastest tracks.
