To the people that have went the H&R route, did you need to have the alignment set again?

So you mean right after the install or after some time?

I plan on having it checked in a couple of months to make sure if there was any settling of the springs over time that may have changed the camber.

Right after the install.

My car has 5,*** miles on it and I was wondering if I should have the alignment done again if I were to go with these springs.

Yes, you should have an alignment performed after install.

It typically takes only 1 to 2 weeks tops, for the springs to settle.

I personally wouldn't drive around w/o having an alignment recheck performed whenever changing any aspects of the suspension system.

When I installed the H&R's, I purposely tossed all my work gear into my trunk (several bags of crap) that was fairly heavy, and then drove around leaving it in there, for that duration.

I then went and had performed just one re-alignment, which was fine until the one year mark came up.

Sounds easy enough.

Seeing I don't drive much, I'll just throw a fair amount of weight plates in the trunk, then have it aligned later on.

Would you recommend another alignment after 2 weeks?

So I have a question, am I correct you folks are saying, you need a total of two alignments if you change your springs. One immediately after the swap and then another one 1-2 weeks later after the springs settle. If that is the case, (and I believe you if its is) that sucks, if you are unable to do the work yourself that is a whole lot of money for a $250 part.

No. No. No.

I mean you could (do two) if you desire. But not neccessary.

Me personally, I weighted the trunk down, to help expidite the springs settling quicker.

I only performed one alignment, after an approximate 2 week, post install of the H&R's.

I am now rocking the Megan Racing Coilovers, and did the same thing following their install.

If you're super hyper sensitive about the alignment being performed right out of the gate so to speak, then go to one of those places that offers free alignment rechecks (which in all reality, is being paid for up front anyhow) then this way you can have piece of mind to do one right away, then a second, re-check couple of weeks later.

But all in all, not necessary.

Luckily my alignment shop that I use don't charge unless they make a change. I take all my cars there once a year to have them checked, if they are within spec and no change is made they don't charge.

Niche, targa,m130 19x8.5. There more of a matte black with machined tinted face. Subtle contrast to all blacked out wheel. Looks even better in person than in pics.

Got to test out the new springs this Saturday at BSD. I was very happy in the results. Had very low 1.8s 60fts with one 1.79. It also resulted in consitant low 12.5s which is great for a Friday night. Another positive was the new best trap speed. My old best was 110, now I got 112. Was also good baseline runs, so I can compare when I get the new V11 meth tunes.

So are you guys saying the springs will help your 60fts? This could be something I might look into

Hey Gang Sorry for bringing back an old thread but I ran across the following quote on another thread:

"As for the spring install, it went well. But I have this horrible creaking sound when I turn the wheel. I see that other people have experienced this. But I don’t see that anyone has ever solved the issue. It sounds like there’s some friction between the coil spring and the rubber. Anyone run into this issue? Have a fix? We tried everything. Lubed contact areas between coil and rubber. Adjusted tension on the bolt from none at all, to fully tight."

Since this thread was devoted to H&R, I thought I'd bring it here an see what you guys thought, has anyone experienced this also and if so did you find a way to fix it. I don't want springs if its going to make a bunch of noise BUT this is the first I have heard of it.
