I didn't realize iridium plugs aren't adjustable, Livernois do you have a package with pregapped plugs and down pipes? I can't find them as anything but with a combination of parts I have already purchased?

They ARE adjustable, but the big warning sign is you absolutely cannot touch the center electrode, as they are easily damaged. So it's best to use a professional gapping tool, though some will recommend tapping the ground electrode lightly on a hard surface to close the gap if that's what's needed. Use a quality feeler gauge to measure gap, again, being very careful with the center electrode. If you can buy them with a verified gap however, that is the best scenario.

I don't see them as a package with DP but it looks like they have them as stand alone here.

When I got a tune I went with Denso ITV22 plugs (from rockauto) as they were commonly recommended.

There are no pre-packaged deals on the DP's and plugs, but don't let that stop you! Just because we didn't have the foresight to put them together does not mean that you can't!!

This is fun. Good answer! The cutaway photo is worth a thousand words. PRESS is the word I love the most. One day, we will meet.

Come out to our CAD Track Day! I will be there with bells on...well not literally. All that you have to do is look for @bpd1151 or @SHOnUup4 because they make it their mission to harass me all day long lol.

Just curious what you all would think my horsepower/tq is with Livernois 93 oct Tune 3 map, windstorm CAI, livernois downpipes, and upgraded thermostat. I would just like to know where I am at, I have been told with full bolt on we should have around 500 HP, how close should I be wih what I have and what else can I do (other than full exhaust, I like being a sleeper) to maximize what I have.

375ish is a solid guess.

Here are 2 2015 cars that have:
V10 tuning
Windstorm CAI
EvenFlo 160° tstat
and 3BAR

So if my math is right somewhere right around 500 at the crank? I was figuring 25% loss from AWD

We do not subscribe to the guessing game that is bhp. There is no way to verify what the engine output is without ripping everything out and testing it. Stick to wheel power. Even if it is only an educated estimate it is far more accurate than,"I think, I make like 490bhp.":thumb:

Do you have the dyno numbers for these cars, or similar SHO's, in stock form? I would like to compare the peak numbers as well as powerband. Thanks.

Thanks. I aligned and over-layed the charts. The power gains are impressive. Where are they coming from primarily? Boost pressure?

The gains come almost exclusively from recalibrating the power creation and application logic in your car's ECM. As we have proven many times simply cranking up the boost pressures will actually result in a net loss of power, and likely result in failure. We typically keep boost with ~2% of stock, and rely upon our experience and superior software to force the car to operate within its most efficient parameters. This is why we make more power, we have the most reliable, repeatable and safest tuning available. Long story short it is the secret sauce that makes it so great

Does this harm/stress the engine or lead to premature failure? If not why doesn't Ford program the car to produce that power from the factory?

It almost seems to good to be true...

Ford designs their engines to meet many different criteria ranging from longevity to emissions to gas mileage. I would say it's obvious Ford doesn't tune the cars these ways because it won't meet one or more of their requirements.

We have not experienced ANY premature failure as we have owned a small dealership's worth of EcoBoost company vehicles ! They regularly get "tested", beat on and even trucks that tow BIG loads for shows and races all over the country! There is NOBODY that is harder on test cars than we are...I mean have you seen our "Day 2 Science" video? If not, YOU SHOULD!

Each manufacturer has to meet a certain avg number for several measurables like MPG, power . For example they have to have their ENTIRE lineup of vehicles meet 25MPG. So what they do is strategically test and manipulate the engines, transmissions and calibrations to meet that standard. The GT350 could not exist if there were no 1L Fiesta. The GTR could not exist if the Nissan Leaf were gone. Same for the Z06, it needs the Volt and Bolt to be around for it to be the track carver that it is. Obviously this is just for explanation purposes, and is an extremely high level view but is accurate nonetheless.

With the charts you show in post 49, what kit is that? Can you provide a website link please? I'm not sure whether I would order LPP663151 or LPP350102 or what the benefits of each are. Thanks
