Livernois Mail Order or Dyno Tune?

Would there be an advantage to having LMS dyno my "future" SHO vs just ordering one of there packages with a tune designed the mods to be installed?

I live far away from them but I'm a big proponent of dyno tunes vs mail orders. I've see great results with there packaged tunes but I'm debating trying to get my car to them to put on the dyno when the time comes if others have seen or know of better gains than that of the packaged tunes.

Their tunes are unbelievable and will be as close to a personally dyno tuned setup you can get. I wouldn't worry about a dyno tune unless you decide to step up to a meth kit.

Dyno in general isn't really needed, whoever you go with, unless you do big steps, like Rich said. That said, I wouldn't mind seeing before & after dyno results if you have the hankering for it

That is a great question and surprisingly common as well.

We have this EcoBoost tuning thing down to a science. We have been doing it so well for so long that even with our most aggressive remote custom tuning will usually remain within about 1-3% of the gains that we get from custom dyno tuning.

Typically, unless you plan on doing something crazy like our Extreme series engine or a turbo upgrade our remote custom tuning is more than adequate.

I'm coming from a Gen 2 Ford Lightning on a stock block where canned tunes are frowned upon as a single lean condition can grenade the weak rods in those trucks so I tend to be a bit paranoid.

Their "canned" tunes are vigorously tested on the dyno...then the track...then the dyno...then they break stuff on purpose seeing where it can go...then maybe break again...all in an effort to get high quality & safe tunes out. Then after you receive your tune you can get tip in adjustments, shift pressure adjustments, fans, and a couple other tweaks I think.
