Im not sure who knows about these yet, but an Australian company, King Springs is still making gen 3 lowering springs. I found them on ebay for about $200 US dollars. Since these are the only option i know of besides the expensive SHO Source coilovers which is a group buy which takes way too long to find all the people, I ordered these springs for my 98 SHO. I am very happy with the way the car sits now, i have them in my original SARC struts with the fuse pulled out for a stiffer ride. Now only thing is I've never been in another SHO with lowering springs so i can't compare the ride quality to the other brands, like i said they are in the original struts so they are a bit old and worn and make noise, this winter I'm going to buy brand new struts and put these springs in them. I also have 18x8 wheels on it too, it takes turns just as good, if not better then my e36 M3, its like a magnet to the road. Heres some pictures to show the height 98 front fence98 low 198 nightIMG 770598 low back

P.S
Since some of these pictures the rear has settled a little bit more, if you look you can tell the rear is lower in certain pictures because they were taken different days, specifically the night picture was the most recent and its a bit lower

Nice photos. I think they might be a bit lower than the results from my after market lowering springs. The car looks very good with those wheel, by the way, IMO.

Thank you, and i agree, from some of the other brands i have seen pictures of (ebiach, roush and shosource) i think these have the lowest height, the website selling them said it'll lower "1.3 inches" but i defiantly think its more then that, at least 1.5'' maybe more, what brand do you have?

Nice lookin car. That dimple adds character. o_O I've done a ton of research on suspension recently, and I'd seen those Aussie springs too, but the price put me off. At least for springs it was too much - don't ask me how much I paid for the Koni sport adjustable inserts (which have yet to arrive). I got two LOW code Ford springs for <$100 shipped. They are supposed to lower the car 1.5" from stock per this link (http://v8sho.com/SHO/Taurus Spring Codes.htm). My original order was for the RAN springs, which lower even more and are the lowest that can be run on Gen3's, but the vendor only had 1 not two as listing stated. He gave me the LOW ones for the same price though. I'm fine with this since I can run the Koni's a tad softer and not worry about bottoming out.

Ive never heard about that, so I'm confused, they are oem ford springs? Or like a catalog performance part or something?

Dimple? Reflection maybe? The only exterior change is the addition of the SHO symbols below the strake up near the V8 tab. For a few years I had different wheels, 17 inchers, but I decided to go back to OEM when I did the restoration.

The part numbers in the link I put up are Ford #'s. Google them and you'll likely find a few on ebay. That's where the best prices were from what I found.

Stephen, that's a hard sell to call it a reflection - it looks the same from 2 different angles. FYI I'm referring to driver's side 1/4 panel. Still a much better looking vehicle than mine though. :mecry:

Hmmm. The panels are perfect, so it is some sort of artifact of the photos. I still am not sure what you are talking about in them, though.

He's referring to the car in the first post. I think there was some confusion on who was who.

I'm kind of surprised Ford had that many different spring options, and if they were all used in production.

Ah, that explains it. OK, I have to go back to the photos of the other car and though I now see what is being talked about, I am still not sure it is actually a panel defect, though I do see what seems to be a different reflection from different angles. Maybe.

On springs, I think the large number is a function of a long production cycle, where they wanted to keep parts as common as possible, but had both supplier and engineering changes.

Prop's on your car! Maybe the pictures hide some of the imperfections, but it looks in really good shape (even with the dent). Those rims really make it top notch!

Did you do anything to offset your alignment with the lowering?

Hi, nice car. What wheels and tire size are you running? Any tire rub with the King springs?

I assume he installed a camber kit to bump strut mounts out a smidge into camber spec range.

Oooook, I missed this last year. So I wasn't the only one that sees a dent. I suppose it *could* be a reflection of a building corner. o_O

I'm not even sure I'd bother with adjustable strut mounts in the front - lowering the car a decent amount might give you about -1.5 to -2 degrees of camber - not really bad honestly.
