Since hitting a deer near the left headlamp 2 years ago, my battery drains to death after 2 weeks of no use. All lights work. Any idea what might be in that area that's shorted?
Thanks,
Bruce

There is a very large connector (C 100) just back of the air box that has a bolt on the top, holding it together. Remove it from the fender and look in behind where it is hidden. Undo some of the tape covering the harness in both directions to see is anything is broke or green.
My connector wire had the coating rubbed-off where it bends and disappears in behind the connector. That was my airbag sensor wire.
When I removed the tape, I found a wire that had gone green and split the plastic casing, it was still connecting but no current would flow. That was my rear defrost wire.
That one area had both my wiring problems. The deer hit may have caused the air box to rough-up that connector.

You've been chasing down some crazy to find stuff. Tip of the cap sir.

From the little bit I know, I think the Under Hood Fuse Box is live, even when the car is turned off, and that is when your loss occurs.
If you have the luxury of the 2-week drain test, then you could narrow your search to the downstream wiring of the big connector, by uncoupling the connector and hooking the battery back up. If there is no drain over a period of time, then you know it is in the disconnected branches.
If the drain is still there, it could be this same wiring that is upstream (to the under hood fuse box), or some of the other wires that leave that fuse box and do not go through this connector.
Situation 1 (uncoupling means drain stops) means one of these branches has the short or drain and it could be:
Wire Bk/W - power seats, locks, key-less
Wire BK/Y - rear defog
Wire BK/O- lights and fuse pane
Wire Y - ignition switch
