Look up a tire diameter calculator comparison online. Tire Rack has the best I've seen, but it's hard to find. Put in the stock SHO tire and rim size on the left calculator, and a 245/45/17 on the right. It'll tell you how close the sizes are. That's how I found the tire size I wanted. My speedometer is dead-on accurate.

Dang... I may have to try volvo. You sure the LS sport edition with 17" rims doesn't have big brakes?

yes, i am sure. the sport got suspension stuff, not brakes.
someone also pointed out to me that even though my LS sport specs a 16" spare on the door tag, his LS actually has a 17" spare.
his car is newer, so i guess something changed.

Yes, the spare in the LS that I have is a 17", ill have to put it on my SHO at some point to see if it fits right, and see if it fits in the spare tire well.

lol

Cool. Let us know if it fits the wheel well. I know the bolt pattern is the same as the SHO 5x108, so it'll fit a SHO. If the tire diameter is too large, I can get a smaller tire for it.
