So after sole research and hopefully this is the right area for this,
But to all current owners has anyone had any issues yet with misfires or motor issues due to the carbon build up? Seen couple videos and information about Ecoboost motors having issues with carbon build up, just curious I guess
As I kind of start my search for a newer SHO

Thanks in advance

All the news I heard on that was from somebody trying to sell something. I'm sure we may get some build up over time but if I ever do, I will be searching for a professional and safe way to take care of it. I'm not running any stuff through my turbos and the last time I looked at my TB there was one drop of oil sitting in front of the flapper. The IC to TB pipe had a minimal misting on it. I only have just about 12K but, I'm not overly concerned. I further believe that a little misting of oil through the intake is good for direct injection engines. Just my humble opinion.

I'm not too worried about it... apparently, induction service isn't that much, and I've heard mixed things about it possibly damaging the turbos. I'd imagine that by the time you'd need to get it done, someone (if not Ford) will have a turbo-safe induction service available.

Yeah that is true, hoping they do by that point. I found through some searching that you definitely don't want to do induction cleaners yet at least as it will destroy the turbos basically.
But the case I read about was the 2.0 Ecoboost having issues with massive build up on intake valves causing a misfire

BEWARE of fuel injection cleaning

I have a 2010 SHO PP, 44,600 miles. Comepletely stock. Ford dealer recommended a fuel injection cleaning service for $119. Afterwards call ran like crap, went back to ford....they said some codes revealed two sparkplugs were fouling out. They wanted $400 to change all 6 plugs. Well after a conversation with the GM...they agreed to eat the $400. Now the car runs great. The injector cleaning doesn't clean the back side of the valves. The seals used in the twin turbos are'nt intake manifold cleaner compatible. A company called BG has some additive to the gas tank that appears to clean alot of the carbon off the valves and pistons. Also, beware of aftermarket CAI systems that flow alot of air...these tend to pass more dirt than the stock air filters. That dirty air along with engine oil over 5,000miles tends to condensate on the intake runners when the engine cools down. We really need to have a turbo chemical friendly intake cleaner to do this properly. Also don't forget to change engine oil after using any fuel cleaner products..as they tend to leave contaminates in the oil.

Early posted I also read the same that most all cleaners are very damaging to the turbos. And more so curious to alternatives of anyone had found any yet. Seems direct injection has this issue more so.
Has anyone tested a catch can, as far as helping with reducing all the build up?

I'd have to find the video but evidently this oil build up is a known issue ford is working on

I am a firm believer, if it is not recommended by the manufacturer, I don't do it. They have the warranty responsibility and if there is a serious problem they can fix it. As to a dealer recommending anything..not! They are only interested in your money and most of them know less about the cars they are selling and servicing then we do. I have never used an intake cleaner, and several of my previous cars were VW's with direct injection. The SHO has run great and is running strong at almost 20,000 miles. Admittedly, 90% of my driving is in the 75 mph range, with one trip this past week at 80 mph in Wyoming (legal Interstate speed). I have the Premium Bumper to Bumper ESP for 7 years and 100,000 miles, so Ford can fix any issues.
