Ehh, that is true.....IDK about cheaper though, concrete is awfully cheap.

FWIW, if you wanted to do runs of sets, vacuum forming is the way to go.

All I've got to say is *******! You did a very good job at making them. I'd try to do a set myself but no clear lenses for this guy. Great job

Did you do anything with the idea of using the original outside plastic cover and cutting a 4" hole in it and adding a clear section in that hole?
The reason I ask: take a look at the upper right hand corner of the drivers side headlight and you see an empty area where the reflector surface ends. I don't think anyone considers that attractive. The diamond cut surface on the original outer cover hides this feature, plus a lot of other things that you don't really want to see when you look at the car in the daylight.
And surely, an original cover modified with a clear section has to be cheaper than a totally new cover, irrespective of how it is made.
Just asking.

I have been tossing that idea around in my brain after a few people mentioned it to me. I need to source another set of housing to play with (well at least a set of lenses). But the hole method may have a promising future. And yeah I agree the current cuts aren't pretty at all, on the setup I had on the gen 2. When I did them I had a bit more time to sand the edges down where I had cut and that really helped the looks; but I was a little pressed for time when I did these so skipped that step... Hopefully come this summer I'll have time to research and play more, school is going to do nothing but get busier till May. Lol
