off-topic for the OP

4 years later, it'll still be slow, hose-clamped, and not tuned worth a ****.

Not sure if this is a shot at Doug, but for the sake of the OP getting a valid answer, maybe somebody should talk s#*t about Kirk's shop. Then at least we might hear from one of them on whether they offer the S/C. :snicker:

To the OP, Google "Ford Performance Specialists Atlanta", or "Northeast SHO'. These shops can give you answers since I doubt either Doug or Kirk check this site much anymore. There are probably other shops as well.

And no, I'm not really suggesting anyone talk smack about Kirk's work. :hail:

Thanks for keeping the tone reasonable, as well as your point, Ryan. And for suggesting good info. That is the best way to go on this sort of stuff, just point at the good data that might actually be of use rather than rehash past woes.

Yeah, SHO Fast had a centrifugal blower and Doug at FPS made a roots style blower. Ask me how I know. If you're going to do anything to it, turbo it. If not, leave it well enough alone.

Don't know what Rooster is talking about though. I can only think of a few, like 4 people who ever did a V-8 S/C set up. Last I saw James still had my old roots one for sale. As for the other ones, I still have a SHO Fast one here somewhere and Carter and Eric are still using theirs as far as I know.

Not sure where Carter stands at the moment, he's been really busy on other projects with his son's memorial gallery. I pulled the drivetrain on SHO R T S a while back, it is still operational at a little over 30k on it - sitting on a subframe, axles and all, but I just retired the body a couple weeks ago due to safety concerns over excessive rust.

Looking for a low rust replacement body. Would prefer a 96 SF or 97 White. I suppose I would 'take' another Rosemist or Charcoal gray, but I have those already.

I think the engines are fine and the ATX's are the real power robbers. Whatever happened to the MTX conversions?
